Those who have already binged Bridgerton Season 3 (maybe even multiple times) will have a while to wait before Season 4, but there are several shows that can satisfy the need for elaborate period piece drama in the meantime. Two other shows, The Buccaneers and Dickinson, share the commonality of a modern soundtrack, much like that of the Shondaland show save the string cover element. The Buccaneers also has a debutante scene for young American girls hoping to secure marriages.
Julian Fellowes also created two lengthy period drama shows — Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age — which unfold in an ensemble-style fashion with various families and servant characters having whole plot lines. Gossip Girl will satisfy those missing Lady Whistledown’s columns that balance between journalism and nosiness.
