Order up for The Bear Season 3, and several familiar faces have returned from Season 2 to reprise their guest star roles. There are some new characters played by major actors — Josh Hartnett and John Cena to be seen in Season 3. Of course the foundational cast who have been around since Season 1 cause their usual kitchen chaos.
Many of the Berzatto family members who contributed to Season 2 Episode 6 in which Carmy flashes back to Christmas at his mother’s house return in footage from that night as well as other memories or current-day encounters.

Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White)
Jeremy Allen White plays intense head chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto. Carmy inherited The Bear, when it was The Beef, from his older brother Mikey after Mikey committed Suicide.
Jeremy Allen White is known for playing “Lip” Gallagher in Shameless Kerry Von Erich in The Iron Claw (2023).

Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri)
Sydney is Carmy’s partner for The Bear. She sought him out to work under him because she had heard about him.
Ayo Edebiri is known for playing Josie in Bottoms (2023), Janet Walch in Theater Camp (2023) and for voice roles like April O’Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2023) and Envy in Inside Out 2 (2024).

Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach(
Cousin Richie was close friends with Mikey. Now he supports Carmy at The Bear. He had a great character arc in Season 2 with a particularly victorious episode Forks.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach played Desi Harperin in Girls, David Lieberman in The Punisher, Gary in No Hard Feelings (2023), and he will appear in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie as Ben Grumm, or the Thing.

Neil Fak (Matty Matheson)
Matty Matheson is a cook in real life, but his character is more of a maintenance man in The Bear.

Natalie ‘Sugar’ Berzatto (Abby Elliott)
Natalie Berzatto is Carmy’s older sister. She became COO in Season 2 and helped The Bear open.
Abby Elliott, daughter of Chris Elliott, appeared on Saturday Night Live from 2008-2021.

Marcus (Lionel Boyce)
Marcus was the pastry chef for Mikey’s The Beef, and he stayed on at The Bear. Marcus’ mother was terminally ill in Season 2.
He appeared in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and he contributed voice wirl to The Jellies! in addition to starring as Leon in Hap and Leonard.

Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas)
We get to see more of Tina’s backstory in Episode 6 of Season 3, titled Napkins. She has worked at both The Beef and The Bear.
She appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She voiced Janet in IF (2024) and she played Officer Elaine in Cat Person (2023).

Ebraheim (Edwin Lee Gibson)
Ebraheim has worked at The Beef and The Bear alongside Tina. He got a chance to upgrade his job in Season 2.
Gibson has appeared in Fargo, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and Unprisoned, which has a second season coming to Hulu in July.

Ricky Staffieri plays Theodore Fak, brother to Matty Matheson’s Neil Fak.
He has appeared in Better Caul Saul and This Is Us.

Uncle Jimmy (Oliver Platt)
Uncle Jimmy, whose nickname is “Cicero” funds The Beef and The Bear.
Oliver Platt has appeared in Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Bernie in Babes (2024). He is known for playing Porthos in The Three Musketeers (1993), Rupert Burns in Bicentiennial Man (1999), Hector Cyr in Lake Placid (1999) and Bob Zelnick in Frost/Nixon (2008).

Gary “Sweeps” Woods (Corey Hendrix)
Corey Hendrix plays Gary, who takes on the sommelier duties.
He has appeared in Fargo and The Chi.

Chris Witaske plays Pete, Natalie’s husband. He’s a bright light in the grumpy group of Chicagoans.
He has appeared in The Bubble, Curb Your Enthusiasm and more.

John Cena plays Sam Fak, brother of Neil and Jimmy.
Cena has recently appeared in Ricky Stanicky (2024), Argylle (2024) and Barbie.

Frank (Josh Hartnett)
Josh Hartnett plays Tiff’s fiancé, Frank. Frank is a stand-up guy.
Josh Hartnett will appear in Trap this summer. He recently appeared in Oppenheimer as Ernest Lawrence and Black Mirror as David Ross.

Grant Achatz, Bradley Cooper and Christina Tosi
In the Season 3 finale, several notable chefs featured on shows like Chef’s Table were portrayed as having worked at Ever, which is based on a real restaurant. Cooper’s cameo is only in a photo from the Netflix movie Burnt, while many more chefs sit around and shoot the breeze about working in a kitchen.

Luca (Will Poulter)
Will Poulter reprises his Season 2 role of Chef Luca, a former rival of Carmy’s who trained Marcus for a bit in Copenhagen.
Poulter recently appeared as Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 and Dopesick. He is known for playing Eustance Scrubb in The Chronicles of Narnia (2010), Kenny Rossmore in We’re the Millers (2013) and Gally in The Maze Runner (2014).

Chef Andrea Terry (Olivia Colman)
Olivia Colman also reprises her role as Chef Andrea Terry, who trained both Carmy and Luca back in the day. Richie staged with Chef Terry in Forks, or Episode 7 of Season 2.
Lately, she has appeared in Wicked Littel Letters (2023) and Wonka (2023) as Mrs. Scrubitt. She played Queen Elizabeth II on The Crown and Sarah Nelson on Heartstopper as well as Sonya Falsworth in Secret Invasion.

David Fields (Joel McHale)
Joel McHale returns to play the harsh New York Chef that always drilled Carmy when he was training.

Sarah Ramos reprises her role as Jessica, with whom Richie worked at Ever, Chef Terry’s Michelin starred restaurant.

Mikey Berzatto (Jon Bernthal)
Jon Bernthal appears in a few scenes to reprise his role as Mikey Berzatto, Carmy’s older brother who left The Beef (now The Bear) to him after his death.
Bernthal has recently appeared in Origin (2023), Brad in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Rick Macci in King Richard (2021) and Grady in The Accountant (2014).

Jamie Lee Curtis portrays Donna Berzatto, who we met in Season 2 first in the Fishes episode and again in the finale.
Curtis won an Oscar for her role in Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022). She is also known for playing Laurie Strode in Halloween (2018) and Helen in True Lies (1994).
