Blake Lively (Actress)
Blake Lively was born on August 25, 1987 in Los Angeles, Blake Lively is the daughter of actor and director Ernie and talent scout Elaine. She is the youngest of five children, and her four older siblings — brother Eric and half-siblings Lori, Robyn and Jason — act as well.
One of Lively’s first breakout roles was that of Bridget Vreeland in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), which she filmed before her senior year of high school. Upon graduating high school in 2005, she took another role alongside Justin Long and Jonah Hill in Accepted(2006). In 2007, she got her most well-known gig as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl on the CW.
She and Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley dated, mirroring their characters in the show, until 2010. She went on to play a young mother in Ben Affleck’s The Town (2010). She met her now-husband actor Ryan Reynolds because they co-starred in Green Lantern (2011).
Still more roles for which Lively is known include The Age of Adaline (2015) in which her character gains immortality at the age of 29. She also played a surfer who battles a great white shark in thriller The Shallows (2016), and she played Emily Nelson in A Simple Favor(2017), directed by Paul Feig. A sequel film to the comedy crime film is in the works. Most recently she starred in The Rhythm Section (2020).
Reynolds and Lively started dating shortly after meeting on åthe set of Green Lantern in 2011, and they got married in 2012. She had previously been romantically associated with Leonardo DiCaprio, and Reynolds was previously married to Scarlett Johansson. The pair shares four children — daughters James, Inez, and Betty and son Olin.
Like her husband, Lively has several business ventures such as the drink companies Betty Buzz and Betty Booze, and she just launched a hair care line, Blake Brown.
