  • This was a special treat. By invitation from Det Internationale Gymnasium Niels Brock, we had the chance to talk to the next generation of EU voters on the importance of democracy this week. Big topic for a Monday morning, right? Right. And if the talk of democracy in a time of polarization wasn’t enough to catch the attention, creative director Johan Køhler and our go-vote campaigns created with the European Parliament in 2019 and 2024 did the trick. Photo = Case in point. Working with the European Parliament over the past 7 years has been both rewarding and awe-inspiring. And getting to share our insights on the effect of storytelling to an audience that was neither the regular industry crowd or clients was a real treat.     Five Effies baby! That's like hot chocolate on a cold sunny day. Totally yummy! First of all, it's a confirmation that what we do matters – for businesses, people, and society. Effies are awarded to work that delivers proven results, and we’re recognized for: // “The Dead Sea” for Greenpeace The campaign brought the crisis of “oxygen depletion,” hidden below the surface of Denmark’s suffering seas, to the broad public agenda. It boosted press coverage of “oxygen depletion” by +338%, reached 148,484,569 people and generated 40M DKK in EAV. Also, 39M DKK was urgently allocated to restore Vejle Fjord two weeks after the campaign. Not saying it's all down to our campaign, but... it's a timely coincidence. 1 x 🥇 PR 1 x 🥈 Non Profit 1 x 🥉 Small Budget Non Profit // “MobilePay Box” for Vipps MobilePay The campaign drove both mental availability and sales for MobilePay Box, increasing MobilePay’s brand index score by 7% and Box transactions by 23% YoY during the campaign. 1 x 🥉 Intangible Products and Services // “Stræk. Snak. Smil.” for Dansk Råd for Genoplivning and TrygFonden The campaigns have helped save lives by raising awareness of stroke symptoms over several years, achieving a 93% liking score (43% above benchmark), 94% credibility (34% above benchmark), and inspiring 63% of Danes to discuss strokes and the campaigns. Most importantly, stroke patients arriving at hospitals within 4.5 hours has increased by 17.5% – that’s 3,421 more Danes with a significantly better chance of survival and recovery. 1 x🥉 Sustained Success – Non Profit Seeeeecondly, writing an Effie case feels like building a rocket ship out of recycled single-use paper straws, which have already been used, and doing it with knees for fingers – not exactly a walk in the park (with hot chocolate on a cold sunny day).     The Eurobest is back, and so are we! Two shortlists at the European championship of creativity: One goes to Hjerteforeningen & TrygFonden for “Gå Med” – a campaign creating community and promoting health by making walking more about shared stories than steps. Another to our go-vote campaign "Pass it on" created with the European Parliament – a reminder to 400 million European citizens (and the world beyond) why democracy is worth voting for. We proudly head to the finals with love and thanks to our production partners Kind and klub moderne.

  • Never, ever trust your gut! You might as well end up blind and roasted like a Christmas duck. This is true as far as marketing goes. At least the real customer-oriented kind. Salling Group recently shared insights into how they learned this the hard way when expanding their supermarket chain Netto to Poland: anticipated growth never materialised. The issue? A store design and shopping experience tailored to Danish tastes, not Polish ones. In leading business paper Børsen, Senior Strategist Søren Langkjer Ravn unpacks the full story and reminds us how personal taste and gut instincts can steer us wrong – even with the best intentions. An important reminder, if you ask us. After all, it’s better to enjoy the Christmas duck than end up as one.

    Ever stumbled upon something extraordinary during an ordinary walk? Back in May 2024, a young guy came across a 1.5-meter shark on a walking path in Denmark. Yep, just lying there, dead, on the sidewalk. It just goes to show that even on those everyday strolls in ordinary Denmark, you might discover something totally unexpected. And wouldn’t it be a shame not to have someone to share those moments with? Hjerteforeningen and TrygFonden (and we!) think so, which is why this new campaign encourages people to join a 'GÅ MED' walking group. We're proud to have been invited along on the stroll.   • That awkward convo where someone is trying to explain to you why something is funny. Awful. ...Yeah, this post is that. Because today, a campaign for Lex - Danmarks Nationalleksikon just launched. And honestly, it doesn't really make sense unless you speak Danish 'cause it translates... not great. We even tried having ChatGPT explain it to those of you non-Danish speakers. All we got was, 'Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct English equivalent.' But seriously, it's funny. Like, 'I see what you did there – nice one' kinda funny. Big thanks to the clever team at Lex - Danmarks Nationalleksikon for a really rewarding process – and to our friends at NoA Connect and Bold Scandinavia / NoA for the collaboration on this one.
