We just recently concluded a Strategic Workshop with our partner World Vision International aimed at redefining our joint efforts to provide safe drinking water to vulnerable communities. Our collaboration is more than just distributing SaWa solutions; it's about building sustainable safe water systems. We are currently working together on programs in Tanzania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Mauritania. Together, we celebrated achievements, discussed community WASH challenges, and set a shared vision for scaling impact in 2025 and beyond. We are excited to announce a major milestone in our partnership with the Nairobi City County Government. On 2nd September 2024, we took a significant step forward during an MoU co-creation meeting and product training defining the scope of our engagement.  The Nairobi City County Government was represented by key officials, including Dr. Carol Ngunu, Dr. Quenter Oyato, and other leaders from various health verticals, while 4Life Solutions was led by SOLOMON KAMAU (Partnerships Director) and Caroline Kagendo Githinji (Managing Director, Africa). Recontamination of water is a critical public health issue, especially in low and middle-income countries where access to safe water, proper storage, and sanitation is limited. Even after water is treated, studies show that up to 70% of it can become recontaminated during storage, handling, and transport in areas with poor infrastructure. We are thrilled to announce a transformative partnership with the Machakos County Government, aimed at enhancing access to safe, clean drinking water for the people of Machakos County. On October 29th, 2024, we signed an MoU with the county’s Department of Health during a meeting held at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital, CECM Office. This marks a significant milestone in our mission to improve health and well-being in the region. The Machakos County Government was represented by Mr. Justus Kasivu, Acting Chief Executive Committee Member for Health; Simon Simba Mwako, Chief Officer for Public Health; John Muge Nyaboga, Director of Health Programs and Partnerships; and other vertical heads. Representing 4Life Solutions were Solomon Muigai, our Partnerships Director, and Caroline Githinji, Managing Director Africa. This partnership is focused on introducing our products, SaWa, to address the challenge of waterborne diseases. Our collaboration began with an important entry meeting at Seo Hotel Machakos on 22nd July 2024, where we had the opportunity to co-create the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and offer product training to the Machakos County Government health officials. This pivotal meeting allowed us to align our goals and discuss the key steps for introducing sustainable water purification solutions in the region. The Machakos County Government was represented by a team of dedicated officials, including Veronica Mwangangi, Head of Public Health (in charge of Community Health Volunteers in Machakos County); Dr. Yumbiya, the former CECM for Machakos County; Madam Anne Mwaniki, Director of Public Health; and John Nyaboga, Director of Health Programs and Partnerships. Other vertical heads from the Department of Health also participated, contributing to the strong collaboration between our organisations. Our team was led by SOLOMON KAMAU, Partnerships Director; Sally Oyiro, Head of Finance; and Caroline Kagendo Githinji Managing Director, Africa.
