As of end November 2024, a company can apply for #equity (only) financing in the EIC STEP Scale-up call here in #Europe, a new scheme with a budget of €300 million in 2025 and a projected growth to €900 million over the period 2025-2027. The EIC STEP Scale Up scheme is part of the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP), offering #funding in the form of #investments to startups, #SMEs, and small #midcaps, between EUR 10 to 30 million. Topics and scope: (1) #DigitalTech and #DeepTech: Includes semiconductor, AI, quantum, advanced connectivity, sensing, robotics, and autonomous systems. (2) #CleanTech: Focus on #netzero solutions like solar, wind, battery storage, geothermal, hydrogen, biogas, carbon capture, nuclear, and circular economy. (3) #BioTech: Includes critical medicines, DNA/RNA, proteins, cell engineering, gene vectors, bioinformatics, and nanobiotechnology. Applications are open for submission by: (1) A single SME or small mid-cap (up to 499 employees) established within an EU Member State or an EU Associated Country. (2) An investor may submit a proposal on behalf of an eligible SME or small mid-cap as defined above under (1) This new funding is one of a range of calls being implemented across multiple EU programmes to support #strategictechnologies from 2025 onwards. 📢 Calling for EU and Indian start-ups working on recycling batteries for Electric Vehicles ♻ Start-up innovators from the European Union and from India wanted! Both calls for Expression of Interest will close on April 30, don't miss this excellent opportunity to join the #greening movement! 🍃 Twelve startups from Europe and India (six each) will be selected and will get a pitching opportunity during a joint EU-India matchmaking event scheduled for June 2024. The online event will take place in the presence of Professor Ajay Kumar Sood, the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, and Mr. Marc Lemaître, Director-General for Research and Innovation at the European Commission. Six finalists (3 from the EU and 3 from India) out of the twelve shortlisted candidates will be selected following their pitching presentations in the matchmaking events.
