Discussing the energy system of the future ⚡️🌱 Last week, our Energy Advisor Mikkel Vibæk Jensen participated in the annual meeting of #EnergienetwerkUtrecht. The event was themed around the energy system of the future and provided the participants with an inspirational kick-off by futurist Arash Aazami followed by knowledge sessions focused on energy hubs, energy storage, district heating, and more 🙌🏼 Together with Bram de Deugd from the municipality of Utrecht, our Energy Advisor gave a tandem presentation diving into some of the differences between 🇳🇱 and 🇩🇰. They further explored how district heating in Denmark continues to expand beyond the 2/3 of all households already covered while getting closer linked to the electricity sector. Thank you to the municipality of Utrecht for a great event! #dkinnl #energyefficiency #sustainability #districtheating #energystorage

How does artificial intelligence boost the transport sector? 🚆 Earlier today, this and other questions were discussed during a roundtable meeting hosted by Ambassador Ulf Melgaard. In collaboration with Netcompany, the Embassy set out to explore the potential for AI to deliver operational excellence in the European transport sector. Both 🇳🇱 and 🇩🇰 have large and important transport sectors, playing a vital role in large parts of Europe. The countries are home to top level transporters of people and goods on a global scale. The way AI is impacting our lives in rapid pace is evident. The technology may hold new revolutionary ways of working and operating businesses. Today, the presentations and discussions gave food for thought, new impressions, and ideas on how to utilise the full potential in data as well as optimise operations through the number and pattern crunching abilities in AI technology ⚙️ The transport sector is such an important part of our economies. Smart technology, close cooperation, and knowledge exchange is a necessity to remain at the forefront, showcasing operational excellence 🚅 A huge thank you to our speakers Mehdi Motaghiani, Partner and Global Head of Transportation & Logistics at Netcompany, and Emil Møller Marker, VP for Strategic AI from DSB, for sharing insightful observations and inspiring practical examples for cross-industry inspiration. Want to know more about the cross-field of #digitisation, #ICT and #tech in 🇳🇱 and 🇩🇰? Reach out to Christian Boe Hansen at chrhae@um.dk

Royal visit in Copenhagen 🇩🇰 Today concludes the second and final day of the Dutch King’s visit to Denmark. Monday and Tuesday, HM King Willem-Alexander accompanied by HM King Frederik X did various site-visits in Copenhagen to companies and organisations in the green energy sector. Dutch Minister of Climate Policy and Green Growth, Sophie Hermans; Danish Minister of Climate, Energy, and Utilities, Lars Aagaard; Ambassador from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Denmark, Nienke Trooster; as well as our Ambassador Ulf Melgaard also participated during these insightful two days. Importantly, a number of Dutch and Danish companies have signed a declaration on green hydrogen in the presence of HM King Willem-Alexander and HM King Frederik X. Manufacturers in Denmark and buyers in the Netherlands are calling for a hydrogen pipeline between the countries to be secured by 2030 at the latest; and further, to create the necessary framework conditions that can make Northern Europe a hub for green hydrogen and Power-to-X fuels 🌱 The Dutch King’s visit to Denmark not least represents the close relationship between the Netherlands and Denmark but also the commitment to expanding renewable energy and hydrogen production which can make Europe free of fossil energy sources 🙌🏽 © RVD #dkinnl #tradecouncil #kongehuset #greenenergy #greenenergytransition #greenhydrogen #powertox
