🏥🏡 At Falck, we are dedicated to advancing healthcare and supporting healthcare systems to meet the increasing demand for healthcare. As a partner to healthcare systems in Europe, the USA, and LATAM, we are part of the transition that various healthcare systems are facing, where a changing disease landscape and demographics require rethinking how healthcare is delivered. We need to become better at preventing acute situations and, advantageously, move more treatment into the homes of citizens. By being close to patients we can detect the very first signs of deterioration, and treat or advise them immediately instead of diseases develop so critically, that an ambulance ride is needed. Because we are there one step ahead, before it becomes something that requires specialised treatment in hospitals 🚑📊 👨⚕️👩⚕️ Dorrit is one of the patients that we have treated through the AcuCare project in Denmark in collaboration with Region Sjælland and Roche D. Dorrits infection required four daily doses of IV antibiotics. After a day in the emergency department, she was discharged and treated at home by us. This is just one example of how strengthening access to home treatment can ease the pressure on hospitals 🩺💉 Our AcuCare project at Nykøbing Falster Hospital, demonstrates the potential of home-based care. In just four months, we reduced 138 inpatient days by rethinking patient pathways and utilising our skilled paramedics and EMT’s. At Falck, we're committed to accelerating this vital transformation in healthcare delivery❤️ #WeTurnCareIntoAction #Falck #HealthcareInnovation #HomeHealthcare #PreventiveCare

🌈 At Falck, we believe that fostering an inclusive culture is essential for better patient care and stronger teams. By embracing the rich mosaic of perspectives that comes from diversity in all its forms we can work together to create better healthcare systems 💪❤️ For instance, in California, US, we are tackling the challenge of cultural homogeneity among our ambulance staff. To address this, we are establishing a nonprofit organisation aimed at training ambulance students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, breaking down financial barriers that limit access to education in this field🧠✨ And in our Danish ambulance operation, we have actively worked to balance gender representation, with over 25% of our paramedics and ambulance staff now being women. This is a significant shift, as we see more than 50% of our new recruits being female, reflecting a broader appeal of the profession❤️ Our Chief of Staff Camilla Geisle Krohn, has written a Danish chronicle about how we can future-proof our healthcare systems, highlighting the need for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Exploring the Future of Healthcare at the European Health Summit🌎❤️ How do we pre-empt acute and critical health situations? And what are the benefits and challenges of self-care from both micro and macro perspectives? These pressing questions were at the heart of a panel session featuring our CEO, Jakob Riis, at the European Health Summit in Brussels. This pan-European summit gathers key policymakers, businesses, civil society, and academia to discuss essential healthcare issues and share insights and best practices in healthcare policy across Europe and beyond. The European Health Summit provided a great opportunity for us to share Falck’s experiences and efforts in shifting healthcare from hospitals to patients' homes, a transition we are part of in our operations in Europe, the US, and Colombia. With proven projects and solutions, we have witnessed how advancing healthcare-at-home solutions benefits patients while alleviating pressure on healthcare systems. ❤️🏡 An aging population and the increasing burden of both infectious and chronic conditions have created a demand for healthcare that surpasses current and future capacities. It's imperative that we rethink the global healthcare delivery model and innovate new ways to provide more care with fewer resources.👩⚕️ #EHS2024 #SustainableHealthcare #Falck #WeTurnCareIntoAction

🌧️ Over the past few weeks, we have witnessed heroic actions from our dedicated colleagues in Spain who have gone above and beyond to provide critical assistance, and help people affected by the catastrophic flooding near Valencia. Towns near Valencia have been severely impacted by flooding, isolating populations due to mud, debris, and piled-up cars 💔 Our teams have been involved in debris removal and cleaning efforts. Currently, there is a red alert for potential heavy rainfall near the Costa del Sol area. We are prepared to respond if another flood occurs 🚒 Our firefighters have volunteered to travel from any point in Spain, enabling us to have teams on the ground working with the affected residents. Additionally, our healthcare team has organised the collection and delivery of essential supplies, ensuring that those impacted have access to the necessities they require during this difficult time 🚑 ❤️ We extend our deepest condolences to all the victims affected and a heartfelt thank you to all our colleagues for their unwavering dedication. #WeTurnCareIntoAction #FalckPeople #Falck #ValenciaFloods
