🌱 Strengthening climate education through connection 🌿 We love this new video from #MECCE Project which shares some key strategies for climate change education and communication. The video, "Places, Communities, Stories: Quality Climate Communication and Education," explains place-based, projects-based and whole school approaches, and captures what we value at Foundation for Environmental Education; meaningful #ClimateCommunicationandEducation (#CCE), built on connection to places, communities, and the stories that drive action. All of which are being activated within our educational programmes, #EcoSchools and #YoungReportersfortheEnvironment (#YRE). 🎥 Watch the video: https://lnkd.in/dc6zGb2b Thank you to #MECCE, Sustainability and Education Policy Network, and Polygraph Productions for advancing this essential conversation! #CCE #FEE #YRE #EcoSchools #MECCE
🌍🎥 NEW VIDEO 🌍🎥 How can communication and education drive real climate action? The #MECCE Project has been exploring this crucial question through case studies from around the world. We are thrilled to share this video, which draws on an analysis of MECCE Project case studies that are exploring quality climate communication and education (CCE). The case studies are teaching us that quality CCE engages with relationships: relationships with places, communities, and stories across audiences, sectors, and regions worldwide. The post also emphasizes the critical role of policy in advancing CCE across systems and institutions, and highlights the leadership of Indigenous communities, youth, and women in achieving a post-carbon future. Many thanks to the case studies who made this work possible, and to Tom Lowe from Polygraph Productions Research Communication for helping us bring these inspiring stories to life!
