Jeremy Joly, spektr’s co-founder and Chief Product Officer, joined #VeriffVoices to share how using spektr and playing with Lego isn’t all that different! But to begin with, why was spektr even founded? This is what Jeremy had to say about it: “The market today is pretty fragmented in terms of compliance and risk…There are a lot of players out there that are very good at doing what they're doing. But if you’re looking for a more holistic tool that can put the cement between all these different blocks, that doesn't really exist.” And that’s where the co-founders of spektr saw a gap and reframed it as an opportunity. “What spektr is trying to do is orchestrate all these different bits together…The processes that they usually do either in their CRM system or even manually on spreadsheets.” Which is where the Lego metaphor comes into play (the resemblance is uncanny, we know). It’s International Fraud Awareness Week. Now’s the time to shed light on a stat that highlights exactly why this week is so important. The world’s largest anti-fraud organization, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), reported that fraud costs organizations approximately $5 trillion worldwide each year. $5 trillion is an unacceptable number. So what can be done about it? There are many different defense methods, but one worth highlighting is ongoing identity monitoring. This helps with ensuring continuous customer data verification and updates, inevitably helping both users and businesses in the long run. Fraud is a global challenge. Staying informed and vigilant is imperative so that this $5 trillion doesn’t climb even higher.

spektr is ISO 42001 certified 🥳 But what does that mean? We wrote a blog to explain how this greatly impacts our product, as well as our clients. We released spektrAI a couple of months ago as a hyper-configurable step to: 1) help identify false positives, 2) comprehend article content, 3) synthesize vast amounts of information, and 4) provide clients with justifications for every suggestion made. ISO 42001 certification serves as a stamp of approval, demonstrating that we have gone through the necessary steps to ensure the highest standards of AI management. We received these incredibly kind words from David F., CEO and Founder of Mastermind, regarding this milestone: “Since our accreditation in July, we have had the privilege of working with some of the first organizations to adopt ISO 42001. Although this International Standard has been published for less than a year, we are already seeing a clear trend: organizations like spektr are elevating their existing management systems, originally built for ISO 27001, to also meet ISO 42001 requirements.
