Hip hip hooray! This month, we’re happy to celebrate Hyme’s third anniversary, and what a journey it’s been! To mark the occasion, our team came together to enjoy a classic Danish 'kagedame', a cake in the shape of a person which is eaten at birthday parties and anniversaries. We celebrated not only the milestone but the amazing community that made it possible. We are proud of our journey. This is what, in a nutshell, we have accomplished: 👷♀️ Built and started testing our demonstrator — the world’s first molten hydroxide thermal energy storage plant 🪙 Secured 25 million euros in funding from supportive investors and prestigious grants like the EIC accelerator 👥 Welcomed a diverse, international team of +40 professionals dedicated to innovation and impact 🚀 Fostered an inclusive, visionary company culture where collaboration thrives 🥇 Won the Copenhagen regional EY Entrepreneur of the Year two years in a row With exciting plans and projects in the pipeline, we’re more motivated than ever to drive change and support the decarbonisation of heat in industries. #MOSSproject win the prestigious Danish Design Award 🏆 We’re feeling a bit overwhelmed — in the best way possible! On Tuesday night, our technology and the visuals of Hyme's demonstrator plant developed by the amazing team of KIRT x THOMSEN won the Danish Design Award 2024. At Hyme, we believe that it's important to communicate our ground-breaking technology visually and clearly. That's why we've worked closely with KxT to develop a set of visuals to represent the #MOSSproject, our #thermalenergystorage technology and its significance for #industrialdecarbonisation. 🌟 We’re thrilled to share that Hyme has been selected to join the EIC Scaling Club! As one of only 12 companies in the Battery and Energy Storage group, we’re grateful for the opportunity to scale alongside Europe’s most promising scale-ups. Big thanks to the European Commission for the support!   Our CCO, Nis Benn, attended the first club meeting in Athens and brought back some valuable insights: 🔹 Funding gap for European deep tech European Commissioner Iliana Ivanova emphasized that the European investment ecosystem needs to step up to enable startups to scale and compete globally. 🔹 Scaling in a diverse regulatory landscape Different regulations across European markets are a real challenge. Faster, unified policies—like the EU-ETS tax—could help companies scale decarbonization efforts more effectively. 🔹 Untapped potential in industrial decarbonization While hydrogen and e-fuels are receiving attention, low- to medium-temperature industries remain overlooked. There’s huge potential here for rapid decarbonization—let’s get it moving! 🌿 Hyme’s Annual Off-Site: Tisvilde Edition ☀️ In September, we went to the beautiful beach town of Tisvilde for our annual off-site, affectionately called "Hymeaway". It was the perfect mix of connection, work, and fun! At Hyme, off-sites are so much more than a break from the office. They're a chance to fuel collaboration, share ideas, and ground as a team. The agenda mainly included workshops that brought fresh perspectives and helped us align across teams. But we also made time for some well-deserved fun; whether it was swimming in the sea, strolling along the beach, running, or playing some mini-golf ⛳ “Our annual off-site is all about strengthening our team spirit, fostering collaboration, and reinforcing our core values: People, Collaboration, and Action. #HymeNews 📣 Exciting partnership to accelerate industrial heat decarbonisation! We are excited to announce a new step to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable future🌿. Hyme has signed a partner agreement with Semco Maritime, a well-reputed engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor, have entered a partnership to deploy Hyme Energy’s products in Denmark and other Northern European countries.   This partnership marks a new stage in a collaboration that began in 2023, with Semco Maritime serving as the EPC contractor for Hyme’s industrial-scale demonstrator plant in Esbjerg, Denmark. Now we're doubling down on our joint mission to deliver an innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solution for companies looking to decarbonise their operations. “At Hyme Energy, we are proud to be able to expand our partnership with Semco Maritime.
