🌍 Great news for Denmark’s carbon capture & storage goals 🌍 We welcome The Carbon Removers to Denmark! This Scotland-based leader in biogenic carbon removals is setting up operations in Denmark to support our ambitious climate goals. With a contract from the Danish Energy Agency, they’ll capture and safely store 4,650 tonnes of CO₂ annually starting in 2026. “The contract with the Danish Energy Agency not only highlights the trust and recognition of our technology and delivery capabilities, but also propels us forward in our mission to offer market-leading solutions in carbon removal. By focusing on high-quality engineered carbon removal, we are setting new industry standards and driving innovation within the sector. The team at Invest in Denmark have been very helpful in facilitating introductions to relevant stakeholders and potential partners as well as the Danish authorities both when we were initially exploring CCS opportunities and assessing potential risks in Denmark and now as we are preparing to set up operations in Denmark,” says Raphael Pfaeltzer, COO of The Carbon Removers. The Carbon Removers’ focus on capturing CO₂ from organic sources not only reduces Denmark’s carbon footprint, but also establishes the country as a frontrunner in Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS) in Europe. Their work aligns with Denmark’s goal to reduce CO₂ emissions by 70% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2045. 🔗 Get inspired by their journey to Denmark here: https://lnkd.in/eUfiSPSM Reach out to Berit Chavez Azeri or Jørn Thorgård if you would like to learn more about CCUS opportunities in Denmark #InvestinDenmark #CCS #CarbonCapture #CarbonStorage #NetZero #CarbonRemoval #CarbonRemovalCredits #NegativeEmissions

🌍 Why do the right foreign investments matter? Because they make Denmark stronger, bringing new knowledge, technology, talent, and jobs to our country. At the 2024 Foreign Investment Summit, AmCham Denmark and Invest in Denmark proudly gathered leaders to explore how Denmark’s unique framework conditions make it one of the world’s top countries for business. 🚀 Markets and algorithms – Hafnium Investment sets up HQ in Copenhagen Quantitative investment strategies are transforming financial markets in cities like New York and London. Now, Hafnium Investment, led by founders Victor Brassart Clausen and Alexis Dubois, is bringing this innovation to the Nordics with the launch of the first quantitative macro systematic fund in Scandinavia, right here in Copenhagen. We recently sat down with Victor and Alexis at their new office in Bredgade, Copenhagen, to talk about their journey. The space, small but dynamic, is buzzing with activity. With Victor coding and analysing data across 4 screens and Alexis negotiating partnerships, it's clear that this isn't just another start-up — this is a fund with serious ambition. When asked why they chose Denmark, Alexis noted: “One of the main reasons, we set up here was the incredible Danish talent pool. But also, the market seems to be shifting regarding their hedge fund allocations. Just a couple of years ago, it wasn’t in the cards to imagine a Scandinavian pension fund allocating quantitative strategies, but this is currently shifting.” Mia Munck Bruns, International Business Advisor at Invest in Denmark welcomes Hafnium Investment to Denmark: “By understanding Hafnium Investment’s business case as the first quantitative macro systematic fund of its kind in the Nordics, Invest in Denmark has been able to assist them from their very first considerations in coming to Denmark. As their strategic focus on certain assets classes with a geographical focus can benefit from the region’s strong talent pool and growing appetite for advanced quantitative strategies, we are delighted that Hafnium Investment has chosen to open their office in Copenhagen!” 👉 Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/e496aNkc 🌱 Are you ready to explore Denmark as a business destination?
