Preparing for UK Quarry Access – Mineral Sector Safety Passport This week, our service technicians attended a two-day training session at KVM HQ in Kjellerup DK to achieve a new certification for quarry access in the UK. The Minerals Sector safety passport course provides key insights into updated regulations and standards and will allow our technicians to comply with customers safety standards whilst visiting the UK. The training was led by Mr. Gordon Dick from Rock and Road Training Ltd, UK. HEAVY TRANSPORT – EASY INSTALLATION Another delivery of KVM's large 20m³ cold feed hoppers to an asphalt plant in central Sweden. The four cold feed hoppers are delivered assembled on skids, making it possible to place them in the most optimal position and easily move them if needed. Preparation for the dosing unit only requires compacting the substrate to 350kN/m² before setup. On one side, heavy-duty galvanized steel plates are mounted to support the access ramp. When hoppers and extra sides are mounted, a loading width of 4.2m is achieved, allowing the customer to load with their large wheel loader without risking mixing the materials in the hoppers. Before delivery, all electrical parts are connected to a repair switch or junction box, so connection to the asphalt plant's existing control system can be done quickly. The dosing unit can be delivered with a control cabinet for easier connection to the existing control system and power supply. #Aspalt #Asphaltplant #ColdFeedHoppers #AsphaltManufacturing

KVM UK Asphalt Spare parts manager retires Bryan Ashfield, who has supported our asphalt customers in the UK since joining KVM in 2017, is due to retire at the end of April 2024. Bryan has a long history of working within the UK asphalt market and has built many great friendships with customers and suppliers along the way spreading back across more than 40 years. Bryan has a great level of integrity and has always delivered the excellent level of service that KVM would wish for our customers. In recent months Bryan has worked alongside James Weir who joined KVM in July 2023 with a view to taking over the customer relationships from Bryan. We, along with the many customers and colleagues who have worked with Bryan wish him many years of happy retirement.
