Love in the Wind: Esther & Arne’s LM Love Story Some connections are just meant to be—just like the wind that brings our blades to life. Esther and Arne’s story began in 2006 when she was working as a translator in Kolding, Denmark. Fate intervened again in 2010 when they crossed paths in Ponferrada, Spain. But it was on Valentine’s Day 2011 that Arne made his best move—pretending he needed help translating a menu to share dinner with Esther. By the end of that first year of their whirlwind romance, they got married, and soon they welcomed their baby girl. In 2013, the family settled in Kolding, and while Esther initially worked elsewhere, LM Wind Power had another role to play in their love story. In 2017, she joined the company, and now they both share their careers and passion for renewable energy under the same roof. This week the Goleniów factory had the honor of welcoming Hanif Mashal, CEO LM Wind Power, Ignazio Imburgia, CFO of GE Vernova ; and José Luis Grau, VP of Operations LM Wind Power. During their one-day visit, they did a Gemba walk and later joined the global and local leadership teams for dinner. Coincidentally, the hotel was hosting a traditional “Studniówka” celebration—an event held 100 days before students' final exams. This nostalgic moment brought back memories for many Goleniów team members, who took the opportunity to invite our guests for a team photo against the festive hotel decorations.

Last week I participate the Wind Turbine Blade Conference in Dusseldorf arranged by AMI. I am honored to represent #LMWindPower and to be the first speaker to kick off the discussion. There are so many challenges in the industry even though every one agrees on the great future of Wind Energy. It is time ： · to slow down on New Product development and shift focus on scaling; · to rethink on aggressive manufacture pace and bring safety and quality to the first place; · to stop the irrational competition on price and focus on value and health growth. Nevertheless, it is great to see so many innovations on Quality improvement, Field inspections and sustainability! It would be a pity these innovations don’t have a local manufacture environment to be tested and executed! Good vision is important, but efficient and practical police is even more needed for the Wind industry in Europe! In the current global environment of “Deglobalization”, cross country and cross continent cooperation is never more important than today, for the players in the whole Wind value stream. #Crosscultural communication and #leadership will be the key for the next decade!
