We’ve noticed a lot of new visitors here lately—hello and welcome! If you're curious about what we do, here's a quick intro to who we are and why we exist. We’re an 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼-𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 turning agricultural waste into biofuel and biochar. In doing this, we actively remove CO₂ from the atmosphere and create impactful solutions for farmers and businesses alike. Here’s what we offer: 👉 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹: A clean energy source that has potential to be used in commercial shipping. It's also perfect for marine boilers, furnaces, and onshore engines. 👉 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿: An organic soil amendment that enhances plant growth even under harsh conditions like droughts and heatwaves. With a single application of our biochar, Farmers in rural India have seen improved water retention, lower soil bulk density, and boosted yields for at least four seasons. 👉 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘀: By locking atmospheric CO₂ into biochar (where it stays for centuries), we provide verifiable credits to help businesses meet sustainability goals. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 We’re not just about carbon removal. We’re about 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 and 𝘩𝘰𝘸 we do it. Our focus is on the Global South, where climate resilience is urgently needed. Our mission is bold: to remove a gigatonne of CO₂ in the coming decades while creating tangible benefits for people and the planet. If that resonates with you, stick around—we’re excited to have you here! And learn more at www.mashmakes.com

Om os
At MASH Makes, we convert organic waste into sustainable biofuels, biochar, and carbon removal solutions to combat climate change and promote sustainability. Our biochar is a carbon-rich material used as a soil amendment to improve soil health and agricultural productivity. It provides a natural, sustainable alternative to chemical fertilisers, enhancing soil without the harmful environmental impacts. Our biochar also acts as a long-term carbon storage solution, making it an essential tool for carbon sequestration and the fight against climate change. At the same time, we produce MASH Makes Advanced Biofuel, a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. This offers industries like shipping and energy a cleaner way to power operations. Our biofuel is produced from organic waste residues, providing a renewable, low-emission fuel option. Our high-quality carbon removal certificates further empower businesses to reduce their carbon footprints. These certificates provide a verifiable way for companies to offset emissions, aligning with climate goals and enhancing their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) profiles. We are committed to offering high-quality, scalable solutions for a more sustainable future. Through advanced biofuel, biochar, and carbon removal initiatives, MASH Makes is driving meaningful change to support a greener planet.

MASH Makes Begins Expansion of Carbon Removal Facility in Udupi MASH Makes, an Indo-Danish company that specializes in #biofuels and #biochar, has initiated Phase 2 of its carbon removal facility in #Udupi, #Karnataka, following a groundbreaking ceremony attended by stakeholders, including representatives from India and #Denmark. The expansion, once completed, is expected to double the facility’s production capacity to 7,000 tonnes of biofuel and 14,000 tonnes of biochar annually. The facility, described by the company as one of the largest carbon removal sites in Asia, aims to enhance carbon sequestration efforts while supporting #agricultural productivity. MASH Makes has provided biochar to farmers across India, reporting crop yield increases of up to 30%. The expansion is anticipated to double the current workforce at the facility from 20 to 40 full-time local employees and create indirect employment opportunities in sectors such as construction, logistics, and maintenance during the development phase. Just before wrapping up 2024, pioneering Indo-Danish biochar and biofuels enterprise, MASH Makes achieved a remarkable milestone by inaugurating Phase 2 of their carbon removal facility in Udupi, Karnataka. Considered Asia’s largest carbon removal facility, the expansion will essentially double the facility's capacity to produce 7,000 tonnes of biofuel and 14,000 tonnes of biochar annually—empowering Indian farmers, supporting local industries, and reinforcing global climate action. Consul General, Head of Trade and Innovation Eske Bo Rosenberg, who was invited to break ground, highlighted the growing partnership between Denmark and India in advancing green fuels and climate innovation, a key focus of the Green Fuels Alliance (GFAI) announced between India and Denmark in 2023. He commended the company for its dual achievements in promoting sustainable agriculture through biochar and reducing reliance on fossil fuels with biofuels, describing it as a prominent example of successful Indo-Danish collaboration. With initiatives like these, India and Denmark are taking bold strides towards achieving carbon neutrality, enhancing soil health through biochar, and accelerating the global green energy transition. 22+ Field trials and counting! From sunflowers to chickpeas, to onions and wheat, our researchers have been hard at work conducting field trials on crops throughout India. When we put all the results together, it’s pretty clear. Our biochar helps farmers grow more with less season after season. And it’s not just yield increases that matter. Our biochar has also been proven to: – Improve Agronomic Efficiency of Nitrogen (AEN) by 42% – Bump water-holding capacity by 30% – Boost microbial activity Scores of pot trials also show impressive results (we’ll be sharing those soon, too). The take-home message? MASH Makes biochar is a cost-effective natural soil enhancer that helps their plants thrive for multiple seasons after just one application. And let’s not forget – it’s good for the planet, too. With every tonne of biochar processed, we’re more than double that amount of carbon back in the ground, where it will stay for hundreds – or even thousands – of years.
