Electronic Design and Prototyping by Erasing the boundary between digital electronic design and physical prototyping
Om os
At Microaware®, we are driven by a visionary ambition, to erase the boundary between digital electronic design and physical prototyping. We focus on bringing this revolution to both the professional and educational landscapes in electronics and software. Our mission is clear, to be pioneers in digital integration in electronic design. Our goal is to shape a world where innovation and education in these areas are not just possible, but also intuitive and time-saving. At Microaware™, we're reimagining the traditional approach to electronics design with our groundbreaking Sandwizz™ Breadboard concept. We've stepped back to rediscover and embrace what makes a conventional breadboard so appealing. - its simplicity and accessibility. With the Sandwizz™ Breadboard, we retain these core qualities while adding a revolutionary twist to address the challenges that often deter people from using traditional breadboards. Everything begins with an idea or new learning. Imagine an electronic solution or concept, and visualize it through an electronic diagram. Use E-CAD software to create your circuit design. This design becomes the heart of your project and forms the basis for the physical breadboard layout. Upload the E-CAD-generated netlist to the Sandwizz™ Breadboard for further processing. The Sandwizz™ Breadboard is embedded with a wide range of both analog and digital components. The algorithm prioritizes using these embedded components in your design and automates the internal connection process within the breadboard, making physical wires almost unnecessary. Only when needed, the algorithm will recommend inserting additional components into the breadboard Now Follow the guidance to place your components. The Sandwizz™ Breadboard validates each step to ensure correct setup. The Breadboard offers modular expansion with layers of component library cards that are inserted underneath the breadboard. This unique 'Sandwizz' feature expand the number of embedded components

Big Milestones Achieved for the Sandwizz Breadboard – Here's What We've Been Up To! It’s been a busy few months since we successfully funded our Kickstarter campaign for the Sandwizz Breadboard. We’ve kept our heads down, working tirelessly to bring our vision to life, and we’re thrilled to share some major updates with you! 1️⃣ Kickstarter Success and USB-C Upgrade Thanks to our incredible backers, we hit our funding goal and got to work. One of the most important upgrades we made based on user feedback was switching from micro-USB to USB-C. This change enhances the product’s mechanical stability and ensures it’s ready for the future. The prototype PCBs with USB-C are now complete, and we're finalizing preparations for production. 2️⃣ Pilot Production and Testing We’ve completed a small pilot production run to test both the mechanical and electrical integrity of the Sandwizz Breadboard. The results? Everything is looking great! We conducted rigorous stress testing, inspected every detail, and fine-tuned the design to make sure it’s perfect. Production is on track to begin in mid-December. 3️⃣ Expanding to Indiegogo InDemand To reach even more makers, we’ve transitioned the project to Indiegogo's InDemand platform. Here, new customers can pre-order the Sandwizz Breadboard and join the growing community of backers. However, we expect the campaign to gain significant traction once we reach the production stage. At that point, we’ll be able to update the Indiegogo status to "In Production," which typically generates much greater visibility and support. This makes sense, as InDemand backers often look for products that are close to being produced and delivered within a reasonable timeframe. 4️⃣ Community Engagement and Future Plans Meeting backers and hearing their thoughts has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far! As we move forward, we’re focusing on scaling production, refining embedded software, and preparing for broader distribution. 💡 What’s Next? We’re excited to document the production journey and share behind-the-scenes content soon. Stay tuned for updates as we enter full-scale production and start delivering the Sandwizz Breadboard to our amazing backers. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has believed in us. Together, we’re creating something truly special for the maker community, students and more. Let us know in the comments if you have questions, or share your thoughts if you've backed the Sandwizz Breadboard. We'd love to hear from you!

In this video, we dive into using our Arduino Nano library card with the Sandwizz Breadboard. This library card functions as a shield, connecting the Arduino Nano module with the Sandwizz Breadboard, opening up a range of exciting possibilities. We will show you how to set up direct connections from Arduino's IO to specific rows on the Sandwizz Breadboard, and how to communicate indirectly via I2C communication and an Arduino API. First, we look at the direct connection from Arduino IO to the Sandwizz Breadboard, where we light up an LED by sending a high signal from the Arduino IO, and demonstrate input using a push button. Next, we show how to access the rows on the Sandwizz Breadboard via I2C communication and an Arduino API. We can send commands to the Breadboard and control the output, such as turning an LED on and off. We also explore our Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generator, which allows adjusting the brightness of an LED. Finally, we demonstrate our current generator, which controls the current through an LED and thereby changes its intensity without needing a current-limiting resistor. We conclude with an overview of using the Arduino Nano library card with the Sandwizz Breadboard to control both input and output functions, including PWM and current generators. Thank you for watching! Make sure to stay tuned for more updates and examples of what you can create with the Sandwizz Breadboard. We need your support to bring the Sandwizz Breadboard concept to life, so please visit our Kickstarter page and back our project. Your support will help us make this project a success. See you next time! https://lnkd.in/g8ZpSNzD
