✨ Employee Story: Stephen Kennedy ✨ I’m delighted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as Stephen Kennedy, A senior Director and Head of Procurement at New Power Partners. My exciting journey with New Power Partners began back in August 2022 in Denmark. The weekend before joining, I had the pleasure of attending the New Power Partners Summer Party, which gave me a warm and welcoming insight into the culture and the amazing team spirit that has made New Power Partners what it is today. I have the privilege of wearing multiple hats—developing and leading teams both within New Power Partners and across the offshore projects that my team and I are engaged in. 💼 Flexibility and Trust The flexibility and trust given to me allows me to manage my many tasks and responsibilities through a hybrid approach, working from my home office or our client’s offices. I also get to travel frequently to New Power Partners' head office in Aarhus to meet with my wider team and colleagues across various business areas. 🌊 Muir Mhòr Project For over 2 years now, I’ve been seconded to the Muir Mhòr project, where I head up the Procurement, Commercial, and Supply Chain functions. Muir Mhòr is a pioneering 1GW floating wind farm located 65 km off the east coast of Scotland. 🎄✨ “It’s that time of the year” ✨🎄 It is the time of year when we come together and celebrate the year that has gone by and what better way to do so than with our annual Christmas parties! 🎉 Christmas Dinner in Aarhus This year, we brought together colleagues from our EU and US teams for an unforgettable Christmas dinner at Malt in Ceres Byen, Aarhus. The evening was filled with great energy and festive activities. Our CEO delivered an inspiring speech, and we shared plenty of laughs during balloon dancing and other party games. Delicious food was served throughout the night and enjoyed by everyone. 🌏 Christmas Celebration in Taiwan On the other side of the world, our Taiwan team gathered for a Christmas party at Morton’s Chicago. The evening featured fantastic food and an incredible festive atmosphere. The night was filled with laughter, joy, and a strong sense of camaraderie that defines our culture across borders. Just over the pond from Taiwan, our South Korean team gathered as well for a festive celebration with lots of good food and laughter. 🤝 Together Across Continents Both events are a testament to what makes New Power Partners unique – our ability to bring people together, no matter where in the world we are. 🌟 Navigating Global Challenges in Offshore Wind: A Graduate's Journey at New Power Partners🌟 As a Graduate in my first year at New Power Partners, I, Spandan, have the privilege of working on a variety of global projects, each bringing unique challenges and invaluable learning experiences. 🚢 Current Focus: Noise Mitigation in the North Sea Currently, I’m involved in the Foundation T&I Installation campaign, where my focus is on noise mitigation and monitoring for an FOU installation in the North Sea. My role includes identifying technical and commercial solutions that comply with regulatory standards during execution, as well as conducting technical due diligence on environmental permits, which encompasses UXO assessments, reef investigations, and boulder micro siting. 📚 Thriving in a Dynamic and Adaptive Role What excites me most about my role is the dynamic, consulting-style environment that keeps me on my toes, constantly learning and adapting. The opportunity to dive into research, problem-solving, and programming in-house tools for various T&I campaigns allows me to expand my technical skills while critically analyzing and optimizing processes. 🧠 Learning from a Multicultural Team of Experts At New Power Partners, I’m part of a diverse and talented team specializing in different areas of offshore wind, from Foundations and Cables to WTGs.
