🌍 A low carbon footprint by design At PhoneAlone, we have taken a significant step forward in understanding and minimizing our environmental impact. With the completion of our very first Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), conducted by an independent consultancy, Nordic Sustainability, we’re proud to introduce a new level of transparency into our design process. Here’s what we found: ♻️ Low Carbon Footprint: 230 kg CO₂e (cradle to gate): This makes our phone booth, with the innovative click system, one of the lowest emitting options on the market.  🌿 One of the main reasons? 77% of the booth is made from wood-based materials - a renewable resource with lower emissions compared to plastics and metals. Our straightforward design, smart material choices, and efficient production process make our phone booth inherently low impact. This marks an important milestone for PhoneAlone, and it's just the beginning. We’re taking the next step by planning LCAs for all our products, ensuring every design decision is grounded in measurable data. This first assessment sets a strong baseline, and we're committed to further reducing emissions through material innovation and optimized production processes. We launched our innovative click system, making assembly the fastest in the market, completed a life cycle assessment proving an impressively low carbon footprint for our booths, and proudly showcased these achievements at Orgatec. Here’s to an even more exciting 2025 - we can’t wait to share what’s next! 

From January 2025, Bikubenfonden will move to Thoravej 29 – A BUILDING THAT RECYCLES ITSELF ♻️ The building is a visionary example of sustainable transformation and circular economy, where existing materials are given new life: ceilings have become staircases, facades have turned into floors, and old doors have been shredded and transformed into new tables. Already named Building of the Year and recipient of the Building Award from Licitationen, the project is on track for DGNB Gold certification. At PhoneAlone, we are proud to be part of this groundbreaking project. In collaboration with designer Sara Martinsen, we have developed a booth designed with a strong focus on responsibility, where unnecessary material layers have been removed or replaced with bio-based alternatives. Sara reached out to us because of our excellent soundproof booths, their neutral design, and because we, together with Bikubenfonden, recognized the potential to further develop our solutions to meet the project’s high standards for both responsibility and aesthetics. Our production method made it possible to meet Bikubenfonden’s requirements and contribute with products that support their vision. The booth is carefully designed to complement the building’s aesthetics, featuring a raw, natural, and honest expression where the origins of the materials are clearly visible. We are thrilled to contribute with our solutions that align perfectly with the project’s strong focus on responsible, recycled, and sustainable design. While we eagerly await the unveiling of the fully furnished building in January 2025, we can’t wait to share a sneak peek with you.
