###### Dansk ###### PF & DTU - Technical University of Denmark indgår samarbejde om bachelor-studiestarten 2024 PF bestyrelsen 2024 har underskrevet en samarbejdsaftale om studiestarten 2024, og med den genoptaget samarbejdet om at tilbyde den bedst mulige studiestart for de nye studerende, samt at sikre de bedst mulige vilkår for de hundredvis af frivillige der hvert år ligger tusindvis af timer i at sikre studiestarten bliver en success. Aftalen indebærer blandt andet, at PF og DTU sidestilles som ligeværdige aktører, og der arbejdes nu på fuld skrue for at lægge den sidste hånd på de mange praktikaliteter. Introforløbet for de nye studerende i 2024 vil byde på en række dage (og aftener!) med sociale og faglige aktiviteter, primært på campus, hvor de nye studerende vil få mulighed for at mødes både internt og på tværs af studieretninger. PF vil også få tilsendt en oversigt over de nye studerende, så der er mulighed for at fordele kagehold og afvikle kagemøder. Derudover vil DTU også understøtte PF i at afvikle hytteture på tværs af alle studieretninger / studieråd. Vi oplever at vi det seneste stykke tid er blevet mødt med både velvillighed og lyst til et reelt samarbejde fra DTU side, når det kommer til både studiestart 2024, samt i vores nuværende snakke og forhandlinger om, hvordan studiestarten skal se ud i 2025 og frem. Der vil blive informeret om yderligere detaljer til det kommende fællesrådsmøde. De allerbedste hilsner B24 & Kommunikationsudvalget ###### English ###### PF & DTU enters collaboration-agreement for the 2024 bachelor study-start The PF board of 2024 has signed a cooperation-agreement regarding the 2024 study start, and with it we resume our efforts to offer the best possible start for new students, as well as ensuring the best possible conditions for the many volunteers who put in thousands of hours each year in order to make the study-start a success. Amongst other things, the agreement entails that PF and DTU are regarded as equal partners, and efforts to finalize the many practical details are now in full swing. The introductory program for new students in 2024 will feature several days (and evenings!) of social and academic activities, primarily on campus, where new students will have the opportunity to meet both within and across different study programs. PF will also receive a list of the new students, allowing for the distribution of cake groups and the organization of cake meetings. Additionally, DTU will support PF in organizing cabin trips across all study programs/study councils. Recently, we have experienced a willingness and genuine interest in collaboration from DTU regarding both the 2024 study start and in our current discussions and negotiations about what the study start should entail in 2025 and beyond. 𝗣𝗙𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲, 𝗮𝗳 𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 PF ønsker at sikre en god studiestart for alle studerende. En god studiestart er for de studerende, af de studerende. Vi kan ikke se de studerendes stemme i den studiestart, DTU nu har fastlagt. Af denne grund har PF besluttet sig for at lave vores egen studiestart allerede fra studiestarten i 2024. Det er på tide at vi laver noget vi kan stå inde for. Noget sjovt. Noget der er vores. Vores studiestart kommer til at bygge på de følgende værdier: • 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲, 𝗮𝗳 𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 Studerende ved, hvad der er hårdt, og hvad der er sjovt - der skal ejerskab og brede rammer til. • 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗱 Tryghed skal sikres og styrkes i alle fællesskaber, som vi indgår i eller opfordrer til. • 𝗧𝘃æ𝗿𝗴𝗮̊𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘃æ𝗿𝗸 Tværgående fællesskaber er grundlaget for innovation og ingeniørfaglighed og sikrer, at man føler sig hjemme overalt på DTU. • 𝗦𝗷𝗼𝘃 𝗼𝗴 𝗳æ𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗸𝗮𝗯 Sociale fællesskaber og sjove oplevelser i studiestarten skaber en god kultur. • 𝗙𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗱 Sikre en indførsel i de fag-specifikke miljøer og overgangen fra elev til studerende, med plads til at fejle og netværk til at komme videre. • 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 Alle studerende skal tilbydes en studiestart uanset andre forpligtelser og fysisk lokalitet. Det samarbejde om studiestarten vi hidtil har indgået i med DTU har ikke harmoneret med, hvordan vi ser PF som frivilligforening. Vi tager os selv seriøst, når det kommer til at repræsentere de studerende. Vi har indsigter, erfaringer og ekspertise, som ikke er blevet hørt eller respekteret. Vi er en studenterforening, som tør sige fra når vores grænse er nået - og det er den nu. Det allervigtigste PF har at dele ud af er fællesskab, glæde, og plads til at være ung og studerende. PF er en studenterforening, hvis formål er at repræsentere de studerende på DTU, blandt andet ved at sikre trivsel og et godt studiemiljø. Det kan vi gøre gennem PFs studiestart. Sarah Vestergaard, who is studying BSc Physics and Nanotechnology 5th semester and is a part of Interdisciplinary Committee Civil (CUU). 👊 What do you do in Interdisciplinary Committee Civil (CUU)? The Interdisciplinary Committee Civil (CUU) consists of representatives from the student body, heads of the student boards and the heads of studies, as well as the dean. The committee advises the dean on different academic topics, such as the educational structure and interdisciplinary courses. 😎 Why it is awesome to be in this part of PF? CUU allows you to have a look into the decision making at DTU and keep your finger on the pulse of what’s going on academically. Cecilie Lotte Ljungberg Andersen, who was studying BEng Chemical Engineering and International Business and was a part of Interdisciplinary Committee Diplom (DUU). 👊 What do you do in Interdisciplinary Committee Diplom (DUU)? In the Interdisciplinary Committee Diplom I am sitting with the heads of studies from the B.Eng. study lines and the dean. I make sure that the students are being heard in the big decisions at DTU. This could e.g. be regarding big changes in the math courses or the new Digital Twin University. 😎 Why it is awesome to be in this part of PF? 🔵 Have you met? Joshua Forrest, who was studying MSc Wind Energy and was a part of Master Student Council. 👊 What do you do in Master Student Council? In WESA we work to better connect students at DTU with the wind energy industry and create a community for students interested in wind energy. We host industry, academic, and social events and trips to give students a chance to network with friends and colleagues, current and future. 😎 Why it is awesome to be in this part of PF? It has been very rewarding to be a volunteer with PF. Through my engagement with WESA and PF, I have learned a lot about how studies at DTU are run and have been able to use my voice to advocate for students in the FR council and the ISN board, and met a lot of very cool people. 📅 When people are usually chosen for this “position”? 🔵 Have you met? Xandra Huryn, who is studying BSc Electrical Engineering 7th semester and is a part of Finance Council (FRR). 👊 What do you do in Finance Council (FRR)? In the finance council, we assist the CEO with their work. I especially enjoy being a part of the meetings in the finance council, where we discuss budgets, HR matters and some of the large financial decisions being made in the association. 😎 Why it is awesome to be in this part of PF? PF has given me an amazing opportunity of making friendships, getting a lot of unique experiences, and trying out different roles of responsibility, which I have grown a lot from. PF has a lot of wonderful people who are very passionate about what they do, and it is a pleasure to get to work with them. 📅 When people are usually chosen for this “position”? BEVAR SU! Kortere kan det ikke siges! Vi har en regering der skærer i uddannelse og skærer i SU. SVM vil nemlig fjerne det 6. SU år, et år der gør at man kan vælge om, at man kan fejle eller bruge lidt ekstra tid. Livet som studerende er ikke nemt, tværtimod er presset højere end nogensinde for at vi skal løbe hurtigere. I dag demonstrerede flere generationer mod afskaffelsen af det 6. SU år. Et tydeligt tegn på at det ikke kun er de unge der siger NEJ TAK! Det gør SF, Enhedslisten, Radikale Venstre, fagbevægelsen, elev- og studenterbevægelsen, ja os alle. Fremtiden, nutiden og fortiden siger BEVAR SU! I PF siger vi også #BevarSU og derfor demonstrerede Forperson Natasha Hougaard og den nye Forperson Mikkel Berrig Rasmussen blandt andre også imod afskaffelsen!

Kamille Mercedes Kranker & Katrine Kjær Møller, who are studying MSc Pharmaceutical Design and Engineering & MSc Food Technology and are a part of CREW President. 👊 What do you do in CREW President? As CREW presidents we are responsible for being the connection between the daily management and the volounteers in S-Huset. All info regarding upcomming events is passed on at our weekly friday lunch meetings in KB. Everything else is done in cooperation with the rest of CREW. 😎 Why it is awesome to be in this part of PF? The best part of CREW must be the friendships we make across different years, studylines and nationalities. Getting to know people with the same purpose of improving events for all students at DTU is awesome and makes it that much easier to become part of the "community". 📅 When people are usually chosen for this “position”? Liv Didi Pedersen, who is studying BEng Process and Innovation and is a part of Study Enviroment Committee (SMU) - Learning Environment. 👊 What do you do in Study Enviroment Committee (SMU) - Learning Environment? SMU is composed of representatives of PF, the scientific staff and relevant technical-administrative departments. The purpose of SMU is to ensure the development of a good study environment, this is done i.a. through conduction of study environment studies and on the basis of the results draw up an action plan. In addition, we allow students to work with the dean himself, and explain to him the things we students think are a problem and that need to be worked on. 😎 Why it is awesome to be in this part of PF? It is super important that we students have an influence on our place of education. It is us who must be educated, and since DTU wants to be an Elite university, it also requires that WE are heard, so we ensure the best learning! 📅 When people are usually chosen for this “position”?
