How long does it take for you to count 459 colonies? For us, it took 12.3 seconds (with Reshape Biotech's Imaging System).

How it started → How it's going Reshape Biotech started humbly. We used to bike to our customers, get data onto an SD card, count colonies by hand and convert that to a video in iMovie, followed by sending data to customers through WeTransfer. We've always followed Y Combinator's advice of shipping fast and early, and whenever I tell other founders about our origin story they think we were crazy. But we started having customers shortly after founding the company, in a space that's traditionally hard to enter. We learned so much in the early days, and from that we iterated on our product at lightning speed. Curious to hear other founder stories from the early days - what were the crazy ways you got your product out and gained feedback?

We made this astounding beauty in the lab the other day. Turning from white, to red, to blue and finally sporulating. Incredible amount of detail we're capturing!
