In person meetings are - still - a quality. While we love tech and the option of an online meeting nothing beats the occasional face-to-face conversations we get to have at book fairs! We meet with authors, distributors, retailers, agents, and other important business partners - because we have a lot to talk about: Next year we’re publishing a bunch of promising titles as audiobooks, e-books, and print - and Frankfurt Book Fair is the perfect place unveil some of our news, and discover new opportunities for the future. 👀 Our focus is “a book for every reader” with a special attention to international authorships and making books accessible across plaforms. It’s great to meet our business partners, who are helping us make our publishing dreams come true. The Frankfurter Buchmesse takes place from 16th to 20th of October and we have several team members present. We hope to se many of you there - for a great face-to-face meeting. 🙋♂️ … Did you know? 📚 Exciting news about the Swedish Book Fair in Göteborg 2024! 📢 It's getting impossible to ignore the relevance of audiobooks in today's book market - and as a result a coalition of Swedish publishers is setting up a dedicated audiobook stage at this year's book fair. 🎧 Saga Egmont is - naturally 😉 - part of the program. Among the confirmed participants are also Bokfabriken, HarperCollins Publishers, Lind & Co, Pia & Co, Mondial, Natur & Kultur, Publizon AB, and Nuanxed. 🗣️ We're excited to be in such great company. Saga Egmont Continues Major Collaboration with Cappelen Damm to Translate and Publish More Norwegian Series in Scandinavia Saga Egmont and Cappelen Damm, Norway’s largest publisher, have entered into a significant collaboration to translate and publish an additional five Nordic Sagas in Scandinavia. This marks one of the largest translation projects undertaken between the two publishers in recent times, continuing the success of the ‘Nordic Sagas’ concept – a collection of binge-worthy book series told in Scandinavian settings. “Nordic Sagas offers narratives bearing universal relevance across cultures and geography. Its success abroad signifies the magnetic power of well-crafted stories that bridge borders,” explains Karin Mundal, Rights Negotiator from Cappelen Damm. To date, Saga Egmont has published 40 eBooks and 32 audiobooks from the Nordic Sagas collection, with more releases anticipated.
