After 10 extraordinary years, we have decided to close Saks Potts in the spring of 2025. After 10 extraordinary years, SAKS POTTS, renowned for its unconventional designs, will close its doors in the spring of 2025. Concluding a decade as business owners with financial success and remarkable creative achievements, Cathrine and Barbara are exploring how to leverage their legacy in new career opportunities beyond SAKS POTTS, taking the time to consider new possibilities. “From the very beginning, we have strived to deliver what people didn’t expect, and this decision feels like staying true to exactly that. When we started SAKS POTTS at just 19 and 20 years old, we never imagined the wild and extraordinary journey it would take us on. These 10 years have been the best, most fantastic and unforgettable years of our lives. They’ve truly shaped who we are – and now we’re excited and eager to see what our 30s holds!” “Both being creative people, we have always strived to continuously reinvent ourselves and deliver the unexpected. Now 10 years into our journey, it felt like we could either shake everything up completely or we could turn the page, say a beautiful farewell to our business, at a stage that felt like the highest point, and start a new chapter of our lives.” Founded in 2014, with a €1,000 in start-up capital, SAKS POTTS began as a vision to fill a gap in Scandinavian fashion with confident, bold, and colorful coats. The duo Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts quickly captured international attention through iconic placements and were endorsed by celebrities including Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and the entire Kardashian family among many others. The brand has been featured in top publications and has earned numerous accolades, including a spot on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. SAKS POTTS has consistently achieved +25% annual growth, attaining full financial independence. SAKS POTTS 10 YEARS This year, we decided to step away from our regular runway show and instead have a big 10-year celebration dinner at the embassy of Switzerland during Copenhagen Fashion Week. We are thrilled to present our co-designed collection "Mesh," created in collaboration with Ana Kraš and Ruben Moreira's new design and art brand, TEGET. This partnership brings together the creative visions of long-term friends of the house, resulting in an unconventional collection. The "Mesh" collection features six exquisite pieces made from a see-through mesh fabric, designed to be worn as everyday summer outfits. The name "TEGET" means navy in Serbian, Ana Kraš's mother tongue, and this consistent colour theme runs throughout the collection, complemented by black and brown tones. Each piece is crafted from see-through fabric adorned with affixed tiny crystals, adding a touch of sophistication and sparkle. There is still time for you to experience the art pieces and furniture by TEGET and view our first co-designed collection at the Saks Potts HQ until the end of today, June 14th, in Copenhagen. SMIDSTRUP BAG IS NOW AVAILABLE "Smidstrup Bag is named after a peaceful seaside village on the northern coast of Zealand where my family has had a small cozy house there for many years. It is a special place in the sense that it is right on the sea, without too much happening around it. There aren't shops, restaurants or too many things to do. just the house, the sea, and the surrounding forest. Whenever Cathrine and I need to take a few days off or focus on a certain project, we drive out there. it is a place that subtly changes your behaviour by just being there. The lack of distraction slows downtime, and the open kitchen encourages gathering while cooking. In the summer, the house is bustling for months. We often have friends over and spend days out walking in nature and then cooking dinners inside. These gatherings retain their importance even as the numbers of participants swell, and the preparation of the dinners becomes more onerous. There's always room for one more at the table. A journey to Smidstrup is often spontaneous, so you just want to fill your bag with everything you might need.
