Five months of networking, site visits and workshops in Toulouse have come to an end! Today, CEO Jesper Skou and CTO Morten Skov spent the entire day at the BCN Drone Center in Barcelona, pitching our integrated Digital Air Traffic Control (iDATC) solution at the UAM Plazza Accelerator Demo Day. The Demo Day marks the culmination of the five-month UAM Plazza Accelerator Program held in Toulouse. This is co-funded by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. The past five months have been an incredible experience for Skypuzzler. This period has allowed us to explore the local and European Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem, participate in workshops with industry experts, and open doors to potential projects and commercialisation opportunities across Europe. Skypuzzler would like to express thanks for the opportunity to these organisations: CARNET, Aerospace Valley UAM Plazza Accelerator EIT Urban Mobility, Toulouse Team Invest (ex-Invest in Toulouse), Toulouse Métropole. We would also like to sincerely thank the five other startups in the program: Maple Aviation, AERIX SYSTEMS, FIRST AIRBORNE, 432 Technologies, and Avy. It has been an honour to be selected alongside such prominent industry colleagues, all dedicated to transforming and revolutionising the field of Urban Air Mobility (UAM). #DigitalAirTrafficControl #Drones #aviation #Demoday #UAMPlazaAccelerator

Securing Flight Safety in Urban Air Mobility with Digital Air Traffic Control! Jesper Skou (CEO) and Morten Skov (CTO) are currently attending the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress in Barcelona. As urban areas continue to grow, there is an increasing reliance on diesel-powered vehicles for goods transportation. This creates an urgent need for greener alternatives—one of which already exists: drones. Skypuzzler ApS’s integrated Digital Air Traffic Control (iDATC) solution for Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) systems significantly reduces carbon emissions by allowing vehicles to be replaced with drones that can fly safely from point to point. #DigitalAirTrafficControl #Drones #TMWC24 #Flightsafety

Using Galileo to solve the puzzle in the sky! As EUSPA - EU Agency for the Space Programme’s Head of Market in the Downstream and Innovation Department, Fiammetta Diani, explains, new pieces are constantly added to the puzzle in the sky. It is no longer only the movement of aircraft that must be managed but also drones and other unmanned and autonomous aircraft (EUSPA, 2024). Skypuzzler ApS’s integrated Digital Air Traffic Control (iDATC) is developed by air traffic controllers with flight safety embedded in their DNA and experienced computer scientists rooted in deep tech. With the rise of drones, particularly the expected increase in their use for various services, there is a critical need for a management system similar to that seen in traditional air traffic control. Applying principles from traditional aviation to drone conflict management is crucial for scalability and maintaining a high flight safety standard to prevent the risk of collisions. The application of GNSS combinations such as Galileo and Galileo HAS makes it possible for drones to deconflict at much more precise levels by utilising our software-to-software approach, which integrates with the drone’s Satellite navigation capabilities. Read EUSPA’s article about how Skypuzzler ApS’s utilisation of Galileo will be a key piece to solve the U-space puzzle here: https://lnkd.in/dxWwkDw4
