SMALLRevolution is an Award-winning Startup, pioneering in transforming plastic waste into innovative products ♻️⚡️
Om os
SMALLrevolution, an award-winning startup, pioneers in transforming plastic waste into innovative products. We specialize in collaborating with businesses to repurpose their plastic waste materials into functional products while providing comprehensive data for ESG-reporting. We work closely with organisations, companies and public institutions to strengthen the transition to a circular economy. We have four design principles: 01_CIRCULAR: All our products are made from recycled plastic and can be recycled up to 6 times. We give waste several lives and don't add more to the planet. 02_ONE-MATERIAL: Our products are made of one type of recycled plastic. We do not add resin, glue or any other chemicals. We never combine our products with other materials such as wood or steel, brass components, screws etc. This is to avoid sorting when recycled. 03_LOCAL: We insist on keeping our production and the rest of our value chain local. 04_TRANSPARENCY: We know the origin of recycled plastic. We know the plastic type, its chemical composition and its capability.

NERD ALERT! How does recycled plastic pass a fire test? 🔥 At SMALLrevolution, we're not just a design company—we're experts in recycled plastic materials. We’re always exploring innovative ways to work with them. Our latest challenge has been developing the Havn x SMALLrevolution product for Copenhagen Airport. To meet their requirements, it needed to pass a rigorous fire test and obtain certification—a tough task when you're working with plastic! After countless trials involving toxic chemicals and unexpected colour changes, we discovered a simple yet brilliant solution: Not only do we recycle the plastic, but we also reuse other components from the original waste. In this case, our final product was made from discarded waste containers from the city of Copenhagen, which naturally contain chalk—a material with fire-resistant properties. Thanks to this, our product passed the fire certification according to EN 1071-1-2. Success!

Product Launch Alert! We're thrilled to introduce our latest creation: An L-shaped modular seating solution designed for public seating. You might have already spotted it—or even sat on it! These benches have been installed at Copenhagen Airport, serving as seating for summer travelers. What's even more exciting is that the materials for these benches come from waste collected from trash containers in the Copenhagen municipality, giving new life to discarded materials. This project was made possible through our close collaboration with ZESO Architects

Summer comes with a large number of festivals and a lot of happy, dancing people. But festivals also have a flip side. Did you know that the average festival-goer produces over 8 kilograms of waste per day? That's why SMALLrevolution is super thrilled to have contributed to transforming some of Roskilde Festival’s plastic waste. If you were at the festival in July, perhaps you noticed these waste containers, all produced by SMALLrevolution from Roskilde Festival’s plastic waste. We hope you will enjoy the summer’s many festivals, and remember to throw trash in containers, not in nature. 😉♻️
