Persefoni Nastou is diving into the world of SPEDA!✨ 🔗 BRIDGING COMMERCIAL SKILLS AND INDUSTRY KNOW-HOW Persefoni’s journey began with a Chemical Engineering integrated bachelor’s and master’s degree, laying the groundwork for a successful career. Her career journey has taken her through roles such as e-Pharma Key Account Manager at P&G and Product and Communication Coordinator at ResMed, where she developed a strong foundation in digital health, client engagement, and product marketing. 🌟 CHARTING A FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE INNOVATION As she pursues her MSc in Pharmaceutical Design and Engineering, Persefoni is dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovation and strategic communication, a great addition to the SPEDA team as we work toward transforming the health tech landscape together. 🌸LIFE OUTSIDE THE OFFICE Outside of work, you can find Persefoni practicing yoga to keep her mind and body aligned 🧘♀️, getting lost in a good book 📚, exploring new destinations 🌍, or hitting the slopes for some skiing! ⛷️ 🎉 DID YOU KNOW? Persefoni was on Greece’s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire! Erdal: "Contributing positively and meaningfully every day, while also meeting incredible people, building valuable connections, and gaining new friends." 📈 UNEXPECTED LEARNING MOMENT? Erdal: "Working with a real client early on gave me insights into the fast-paced world of software production and the importance of teamwork in achieving challenging goals on a tight timeline." 💼 WHAT MAKES A STARTUP INTERNSHIP UNIQUE? Erdal: "The close-knit friendly atmosphere. In a startup environment, versus a typical office setting, there’s much more opportunity to connect and get to know each other on a deeper level." 💪 ADVICE FOR NEW TEAM MEMBERS? Erdal: "Embrace the incredible energy that everyone brings! Stay motivated, as this startup is full of passionate, driven people who love what they do and are focused on achieving their future goals." ☕ BEST MEMORY? Erdal: "Our celebration for both Noah leaving and Persefoni joining the team. We all spent time together, relaxing and having fun at a cozy street café in Copenhagen, getting to know each other better in a warm, friendly atmosphere." With Tom on board and his deep technical expertise, our founding team is now complete, and we’re ready to take on new challenges together.   A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE Tom brings impressive skills in both technology and leadership, as he has extensive consultancy experience in top-tier companies like the LEGO Group, Vestas and BESTSELLER. As a former founder and key contributor to high-performing teams, he’s a natural at building and scaling teams. BEYOND WORK Tom’s passion for innovation extends beyond the office as he’s an active mentor for startups, a community event organizer, and a lover of both digital and board games. FUN FACT Tom participates annually in an epic mega-civilisation game —18 players, over 3,000 pieces, and hours of strategy! THE ROAD AHEAD WITH TOM At SPEDA, Tom is eager to drive growth and foster innovation, building a robust and secure platform to support medical researchers by providing easier access to high-quality data. This new chapter of his moving from a bootstrapped journey to a VC-backed environment opens up exciting new possibilities! 🚀 CATCHING UP WITH Davide. REFLECTIONS ON HIS SPEDA INTERNSHIP 🚀 As Davide wrapped up his summer internship at SPEDA this week, we asked him to share some quick insights from his journey with us. 🔍 BIGGEST LEARNING? Davide: "Embrace every challenge. Stepping out of my comfort zone was key. Watching the team tackle through problems showed me that persistence pays off." 💻 ADVANTAGES OF A STARTUP? Davide: "The support I received was amazing, even while working remotely. I got offered mentorship while leaving space to figure things out on my own, which was crucial for my growth." 🎯 MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT? Davide: "Developing a web scraper on day one. It was completely new to me, but with research and team support, I got it done and added it to SPEDA's GitHub—a big win!" 💡 ADVICE FOR FUTURE INTERNS? Davide: "Don't be afraid to dive in. Your ideas matter, and you'll have a great support system here. Just go for it and enjoy the ride!" 🤝 FAVORITE PART? Davide: "Collaborative problem-solving. Planning and discussing different approaches with the team was both fun and rewarding. I felt like SPEDA is all about transparency and inclusiveness. From day one, I felt like a valued part of the team, and my ideas were always taken seriously." We're grateful to have had Davide on the team for the summer; it has been impressive to see him grow so much in such a short time and really become an expert on the topics he worked with. He was great in always finding a solution even when not having had any experience on something whatsoever. With a passion for optimizing healthcare processes, Jesper brings valuable experience from his 5+ years in various healthcare roles, primarily as a research assistant. His mission? Contributing to solutions that free up time for health professionals to focus on what matters most - patient care! 🎓 POLITICIAN IN THE MAKING As the former president of the medical students' union at the University of Copenhagen for 3 years, Jesper is no stranger to advocating for change. We can already tell he's eager to tackle political issues and ensure things are running smoothly! 🥋 MARTIAL ARTS ENTHUSIAST When he's not diving into healthcare innovation, you might find Jesper practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It's great to see our team members pursuing diverse interests! 🌍 LANGUAGE LOVER Jesper's enthusiasm for languages is contagious! He enjoys practicing some phrases in German and Italian in the office, and we're excited to see what other linguistic adventures he'll embark on. Who knows, we might all pick up a word or two! 🍞 BRIOCHE BOSS Word on the street is that Jesper makes the best brioche buns in town. We're eagerly awaiting proof - perhaps a taste test is in order? 😉 🎵 UNEXPECTED TALENT Here's a fun fact: Jesper is a fan of Mongolian throat singing!
