Bei VELUX Commercial wird Teambuilding großgeschrieben. Aus diesem Grund bieten wir unseren Auszubildenden jedes Jahr unsere beliebte Azubifahrt an. Ende August ging es für unsere 19 Auszubildenden (Industriekaufleute, Technische Produktdesigner, Industriemechaniker und Fachkräfte für Metalltechnik) nach Berlin. Dort stand neben einen spannenden Einblick unseres Großprojektes "den Ostbahnhof", auch eine strategische Partie Laser Tag, ein ausklingender Abend im Restaurant "Pirates", sowie Sightseeing am Brandenburger Tor auf dem Plan. Im Großen und Ganzen war die Azubifahrt ein voller Erfolg, da sich alle Auszubildenden untereinander kennengelernt haben und nun als ein Azubiteam auftreten. #VELUXCommercial

The Glemstal School Schwieberdingen-Hemmingen has been expanded to accommodate 670 students, up from 500, with a new wing for grades 9 and 10 opened in October 2023. A standout feature is the innovative skylights in the atriums, designed with VELUX Glass Roof system. These skylights flood the interiors with natural light, enhancing student performance, and provide excellent ventilation control. The green and blue linoleum floors further enhance the learning environment by creating vibrant, mood-boosting atmospheres. We are excited to share with you that ICÔNE Offices has won the prestigious: “Best Use of Natural Light” award on the World Architecture Festival 2024 in Singapore! This achievement highlights the innovative design and unique use of daylighting. The architect, Foster + Partners, put occupant well-being at the forefront of design plans. A total of 700 Modular Skylights were specified to create a central atrium that provides daylight across five levels. Together with the façade windows, the skylights ensure a connection to the outdoors and provide plenty of natural light, creating a bright and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors. 8 projects were shortlisted for the prize, all of them “maximise natural daylight to engage with their surroundings and create dynamic spaces for their visitors”. VELUX Commercial is proud to have been part of the project for Danske Bank’s headquarters in Copenhagen! The building, spanning 73,000 square meters, is designed to accommodate over 6000 employees daily. Above the atrium 862 VELUX Modular Skylights flood the space with natural light, enhancing both aesthetics and employee well-being. The skylights not only optimize light transmission but also maintain thermal comfort, reducing the need for artificial lighting. The skylights were part of the building’s overall sustainable design, contributing to its LEED Gold v4 certification. This project sets a new standard for modern office buildings, prioritizing sustainability and employee health.
