Axter success in Ullrigg SIT – Paving the way for Rigless P&A! We’re pleased to share the successful completion of a System Integration Test (SIT) at Ullrigg (Norway), conducted in collaboration with TotalEnergies and the Plug & Abandonment (P&A) Innovation Program at NORCE. This test validated Axter technology and its Retrieve configuration, designed for the efficient removal of control lines and gauge cables during P&A operations. By integrating scanning, cutting, and retrieval of control lines into one toolstring, Axter drastically optimizes intervention — bringing the industry closer to rigless P&A. Watch this space...

Case story: Fishing operations don't have to be complex— the Wellgrab™ tool range is making multifaceted interventions simpler, streamlining distinct stages of an operation with quick and easy changeovers. In this case from Norway, the top part of a stuck BHA was successfully retrieved using bi-directional stroke force, followed by clean-out runs that brought over 12 liters of debris to the surface. The next challenge—recovering the pulling tool—was made seamless with the Wellgrab Hi-Range Overshot and Spear (HIROS). Its ability to switch between engagement settings and leverage different grapple extensions proved pivotal in the operation, running through any residual debris. A fast changeover from overshot to spear allowed for the final retrieval of the plug, successfully bringing the asset back online! Click below for the full story... https://bit.ly/4g0TseF
