Celebrating Women and Girls in Science! 👩 ✨ At WSAudiology (WSA), we proudly celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science by recognizing the incredible contributions of women who are shaping the world through science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). 🚀🔬 One of these inspiring women is Arlene Desallia Meidahl, RF Engineer Designer at WSA. Her journey has taken her from the Philippines to Singapore and now Denmark, where she has built a successful career in engineering. 💬 "Throughout my university studies, I've faced challenges as a woman in STEM—from being one of the few women in my electronics engineering program to experiencing moments of doubts. But I’ve learned that believing in yourself and staying true to who you are is essential to success." One misconception Arlene wants to break? The idea that women must choose between career and family. As a mother of three, she has proven that it is possible to thrive in both. "Women should never have to justify their ambitions or their commitment." 💡 Her message to future women in science: "Never underestimate your abilities. 📢 Today, WSAudiology announced organic revenue growth of 4% to EUR 670 million in the first quarter of the financial year 2024/25 in line with expectations. Jan Makela, CEO of WSA, said: “With an organic revenue growth of 4%, we are off to a good start of the financial year on a high comparative base from last year. Growth continues to be driven by solid performances across all regions and channels, based on our two strong and complementary brand platforms Signia and Widex. We look forward to launching new advanced hearing solutions on both platforms in the coming months, reaffirming our commitment to improving hearing care for all and simplifying the customer journey." 🌟 Master students present their #DEI findings at WSAudiology! 🌟 Our collaboration with Copenhagen Business School’s 🎓 Diversity & Change Management program came to its conclusion. Over the past three months, 44 MSc students worked to analyze WSA’s inclusion practices and develop actionable recommendations. Ben Hales, WSA Global DEI & Culture Specialist, says:  "The energy, creativity, and depth of the students' work have been incredible. Their perspectives have given us additional food for thought, particularly on how we can amplify our attractiveness as an inclusive employer. This collaboration underscores the importance of academia-industry partnerships in fostering innovation and driving progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion.”      During the project, the students:  ✅ Explored topics like women in leadership, inclusion networks, communication, and neurodiversity  ✅ Conducted in-depth research and interviews with WSA leaders  ✅ Presented their findings to a panel of WSA employees Nicole Ferry, Assistant Professor at CBS, shares:  “Our collaboration with WSA has been invaluable. 🌟 Master students explore Diversity and Change Management at our headquarters! We had the pleasure of hosting 44 MSc students from Copenhagen Business School’s 🎓 Diversity & Change Management program at WSAudiology HQ. This visit marked the next step in an exciting live case collaboration that started a few weeks ago, when part of the HR team visited CBS to present our company and our diversity journey. 🤝 During their visit, the students: ✅ Conducted interviews with WSA leaders ✅ Gained insights into our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives ✅ Enjoyed a tour of our production facilities ✅ Attended presentations on hearing loss, strategy, and sustainability In the coming weeks, these talented students will work in teams to develop innovative solutions for the challenges we’ve presented. We’re thrilled to see the fresh perspectives and actionable recommendations they’ll bring forward.
