Last week we had the pleasure of supporting a roundtable session between American and Danish water utilities and technology providers, facilitated by Pia Jacobsen and Camilla Simonsen from Water Valley Denmark and hosted at our Kamstrup facilities. Among the fascinating topics were Active Leak Management, District Metered Areas (DMA) and Pressure Management, and we would like to thank all participants for their openness towards sharing their experiences and challenges. Additionally, a big thank you to The Trade Council of Denmark in North America - Energy and Environment for bringing the delegation to Denmark and ensuring strong collaboration and partnership between Denmark and the US.
Yesterday we have had the pleasure of hosting yet another delegation of US water professionals from Texas and California, who have participated in a full-week fact finding trip in Denmark. They have been visiting utilities and technology providers, and can hopefully bring home a lot of inspiration from the Danish water sector. A big thanks goes to the Water Technology Alliance for arranging the trip and the visit, and an even bigger thank you to all participants for your openness and insights into the US water business. 📻 📢 Ce matin, j'ai eu le privilège de mettre en lumière le travail essentiel effectué par les chercheurs de fuites, en particulier ceux d' #EauAgglo, (un grand merci à Soïzic, Didier, Gérard, Jean-Michel, Philippe, Sébastien, Stéphane) grâce à France Bleu Roussillon et Ici Matin Roussillon ❤️ 💛. Leur expertise pour traquer 🔎 les fuites sur le périmètre de l'agglomération est d'une importance capitale, surtout en cette période de sécheresse. Pour accomplir leur mission, ils disposent d'outils de dernière génération, tels que : 🔹 La prélocalisation par corrélation acoustique mobile, 🔹 La localisation par écoutes phoniques directes / au sol et tirs de corrélation, 🔹 La localisation par gaz traceur. Cependant, malgré leur expertise et leurs équipements, cette équipe, qui surveille près de 1700 km de réseau d'eau de Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, serait un peu juste pour assurer une couverture efficace de l'ensemble du périmètre. Heureusement, l'équipe bénéficie désormais d'outils innovants et précurseurs à grande échelle : 1️⃣ La prélocalisation de fuites par satellite couplée à de l'intelligence artificielle, co-développée par Veolia depuis 5 ans. Nous passons au stade industriel ! 2️⃣ La localisation de fuites sur branchement grâce aux 109 000 compteurs d'eau de nouvelle génération Kamstrup équipés du module de recherche de fuite. Ces compteurs sont capables de détecter les fuites sur branchement, qui représentent plus des 2/3 des fuites sur notre territoire. 3️⃣ La sectorisation du réseau, qui consiste à diviser le réseau en plusieurs sous-réseaux. WTA celebrates World Water Day with longtime partner Kamstrup's new production facility and HQ opening in Georgia! 🇺🇸💧 Yesterday, the Danish Ambassador to the U.S., Jesper Møller Sørensen, and the Consul General of Denmark in Chicago, Jesper Køks Andersen, attended the Kamstrup opening ceremony for their newest production facility in Cumming, Georgia. At the event, Governor of Georgia Brian Kemp, Kamstrup's newly appointed CEO Soren Kvorning, Honorary Consul of Denmark Christopher Smith, and the Ambassador delivered remarks, which were followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate this significant occasion. Kamstrup has been established in Georgia since 2013, starting with only four employees at the former Consulate of Denmark in Atlanta and has now expanded to a team of 130 employees. Kamstrup is demonstrating the need for innovative and sustainable water management solutions in the U.S. market, while also strengthening the ties between the U.S. and Denmark. The Danish Ambassador to the U.S., Jesper Møller Sørensen, said: "Today marks the opening of Kamstrup's largest new production facility, a significant advancement in the green transition, and strengthens our Danish-American cooperation. As a partner in the Water Technology Alliance (WTA), Kamstrup plays a central role in promoting sustainable and innovative Danish water solutions. This step supports the collaboration between the USA and Denmark for more sustainable water management, and our common goals to reduce water consumption, ensure clean drinking water, and tackle environmental and climate changes." Kamstrup specializes in developing and manufacturing intelligent smart metering solutions that accurately measure water flow and identify leaks, providing water utilities with data to effectively tackle water loss. Kamstrup has been a valuable member of the Water Technology Alliance (WTA) since 2016.
