Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a panel discussion and breakfast in Stockholm, discussing how #AI is creating value throughout the value chain. Thank you to Nima Ghorbani, Anders Thulin, Jonas Dahlberg for sharing your thoughts and Nathan Bell for moderating. Our key takeaways: 1️⃣ Due to the rapid evolution of AI, calculating the cost-effectiveness of applications based on current costs is inadequate. A multi-year TCO perspective considering expected efficiency improvements is required to assess the viability of investments. 2️⃣ AI efforts mainly fail due to poor data quality, lack of human monitoring and involvement in AI-run processes, and limited buy-in across the broader organization. 3️⃣ Success factors in AI adoption are similar across sectors: AI is a cross-functional effort beyond IT; ownership is driven by the business, not top management; AI competencies are spread across the business. 4️⃣ AI is currently focused on optimizing processes, not revolutionizing business models. The AI revolution needs to start with organizations spending time and resources on innovation and developing new ideas to apply AI.
