I had a wonderful stay at Local Tea Hostel. The room was clean and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They were easy to talk to and some of them spoke excellent English. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Chengdu.

Our favorite Hostel in Chengdu. This place was our basecamp during our whole China trip. We could leave our backpacks for 6 weeks without problems for free. The rooms are clean and quiet, the staff is friendy and speaks English.They even helped us to register WeChat which is essencial for traveling in China. You can wash clothes for a small fee (0,60 euro inkl. detergent). There are many public ares to hang around. High speed internet. The location is amazing. It is directy next to the metro Station Line 3, only one station from Chunxi Road. There are many very nice local food options around. We came back 3 times and would stay again in future.

3 minutes walk from the metro station. Easy to travel to tourist attractions. The room is a bit old and small but there wasn't any mushy smell as you entered the room. The front desk staff are friendly to answer any queries.

This is 2 times for my hostel this, they give panda 🐼 to me,Hotel is the best location for travel very near station 🚉 Xinnanmen 100m. You can used subway for go to anywhere if you want to go,and nice information they can talk English for you

Wonderful hostel, great facilities including a washer and dryer. Private room had a comfy bed and shampoo/body wash - great value for money.

We loved to stay at the Tea House Hostel! We had a double room where everything what you need is there. It's very cosy, tidy, comfy and the staffs were very friendly and supporting. You really feel welcome and it's just opposite of a metro station. You can walk to the river side. The shower is apart from the toilet = definitely a plus when you travel with two persons ;) It just would be great if they would have more than just one wash machine.

Laundry machine, good rooms, walls a bit thin so some noise may be heard in the room. Overall VFM is good, close to subway station which is great

It’s my second time here. I saw many complaints about the foul smell because of the renovation in the review section. The first floor stills smells like drainage. But the room I stayed was ok. There was no smell coming from the toilet either. However, there was a crack in the ceiling so the ceiling rock fell down on the bed and was dusty when I entered the room. Also they had the window open - but as there is no web for bug protection - a lot of leaves and some insects entered the room and was on the floor. Overall it was a good stay. However, when I visited here during winter the shower water was hot enough to take a good shower. But yesterday, the water was very cold. And I was already wet to call for help. There was also ***** hair on the desk but I cleared it away… Still there are alot of amenities and the staff can speak a bit of english.

Location was perfect, just that walkway to lift lobby at ground floor reeked of pee. Room was ok, basic and spacious. However there were bed bugs and it got quite serious that I had more than 10 huge bites on each leg. Staff was v nice, pleasant and polite. The coconut milk coffee was a must try

not so hygienic but it's okay for its price the staff was helpful but the common bathroom area are dirty and molded

Always choose to stay here when outstation tours are completed. I like that the metro station is so close by . Can get to anywhere easily. I like the bedsheets & bed. There is no shortage of drinking water & toiletries. Place is quiet, clean , modern .

I cannot recommend more of this place. Everything is just so welcoming and easy. The location is right off Xinnanmen station at exit D. The hostel is clean and comes with really nice tea. Don’t forget to check out the front view at the observatory and back rooftop view. A for amazing!

Location is good. Managers are nice. Well it is a hostel, so it depends on who are your roommates.
