Wonderful staying experience. Love everything about this beautiful place especially since i am quite fond of retro arrangement. The cats are fun to play with, my family have great time with them. Landlady is also very kind and helpful as well. Definitely will come back if i return to Suzhou.

Highly recommended Rating 5/5 I recently stayed at this place 苏州小院for 1 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel's location was perfect, the nearby MRT was 北寺塔. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bed and modern amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay special. *Pros:* - Comfortable room and bed - Great location - Friendly and helpful staff *Cons:* - after 7pm the hallway will be a bit dark outside. Overall, I would definitely recommend 苏州小院to others. It's a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in 苏州. The soya beans (豆浆） highly recommended

had such a fantastic time at this hotel! It's conveniently located just a short 10-minute stroll from the metro station, and there are tons of cool spots nearby like The North Pagoda, Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Suzhou Silk Museum, all within a quick 10-15 minute walk. It feels like staying in a cozy guest house nestled within a family complex. The owner, a lovely lady, is super friendly and helpful. While the room has that charming old-school vibe, it's spotlessly clean and has everything you need, even a hairdryer. It totally reminds me of my grandma's place back in the day! Plus, there's a cute little mini library with some fascinating collectibles and a cozy tea house - perfect for some Insta-worthy snaps! Oh, and watch out for the three adorable cats who love to wander around and sometimes even pop into your room for a visit! You won't go hungry here either! Right next door, there's a fabulous café, and across the street, you've got a whole lineup of local food joints. And let me tell you, don't miss out on the crab noodle spot near the traffic light - it's absolutely divine! And if you're craving some fresh fruit, just head over to the fruit stand near the small bridge. They're open late - I swung by around 11 pm and they were still going strong! Just a friendly reminder: This hotel does have its Chinese name displayed at the entrance, no English. So, make sure to remember or write down that street number to find it easily next time! And you can bet your bottom dollar that if I find myself back in Suzhou, I'll be booking a room here again without a second thought!

Beautiful local Suzhou ambiance. The owner has 3 adorable cats that are very well behaved and would come into your room if you invite them. The decor was beautiful, the room was clean and amenities are adequate. The hot water pressure was good even in winter. Definitely will come back and stay again when I come to Suzhou.

The location is perfect, walking distance to all major attractions. Also MRT is nearby & accessible to all attractions. Check in is fast , owner provide clear instructions. Nice cozy stay if you want something different from the usual hotel stay.

I stayed at this inn for two nights, the room had a lot of traditional Chinese charm and was very comfortable. The owner was very warm and helpful, and the location of the inn is also excellent. Highly recommend.

My stay at Suzhou Little Courtyard Inn was an absolute delight! The host was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. My room was clean, and beautifully decorated. The hotel's location was good, with easy access to all the major attractions, good restaurants and train/bus station. I would highly recommend Suzhou Little Courtyard Inn to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Suzhou.

Friendly staff, classic setting, good location, and cute cats

Perfect room for a solo traveller. Location is ~7min walk from nearest mrt station and is walkable to major attractions like Suzhou museum and Pingjiang road Caught a few mosquitos in the room but it didn’t bother me too much. Landlady is very friendly and helpful, was able to checkin early and provided me info about touring Suzhou

This place was wonderful! The owner was really sweet and always very helpful. The Room was absolutely beautiful and kept very clean. There's also 3 cute cats on the property. I really enjoyed my stay here and will come again when i return to Suzhou.

Room's overall shape is like that of a rectangle, slightly narrow but long. Air conditioning unit both below and above the stairs. Clothes stand and some hanging space available under the stairs in the room. Washing machine and more hanging space for clothes available in the courtyard. Located near beisita (北寺塔) mrt station. Maybe food stalls across the long stretch of road across the property. Recommend the noodle stall nearest to the hotel and a bun stall on the way from the mrt to the hotel (the one with visible bamboo containers for bun steaming). Walking distance to Humble Administrator's Garden. Near Ping Jiang Road (平江路) which has many good street and other light shopping. Walkable from hotel but abit of a distance away. Owner was warm and welcoming (even though we arrived very early in the morning 0700), sent a guide on the attractions and food around the property via wechat. Cats were the star of the hotel cute and fluffy, free therapy for all ＜3 Overall a pleasant stay, would return, would recommend.

Good place to try if you like to experience the traditional Suzhou style. Toilet floor is slippery when wet. The heater takes a while to warm up. Room and bed frame are relative small. Location is super idea as very near to places of attractions and good food.

A bit disappointed that what was described, and photos of property shown do not quite match. Proprietress is very nice and welcoming. Current state of property is very 'tired' and need refreshing. Location is great. Has laundry washer but no dryer, hang out to dry at courtyard. Overall it is still OK but would have preferred a better condition.
