Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals

Shares of Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals closed the day higher at their 10% upper circuit of Rs 668.10 after entering into a strategic long-term contract valued around Rs 1760 crore with a global pharmaceutical company to manufacture and supply pharmaceutical formulations in the European market.

Cochin Shipyard

Cochin Shipyard's share price jumped 5% to hit and close at their upper circuit limit of Rs 1,532 on BSE after securing a Rs 450 crore order from Adani Ports.

Pharma stocks

As the pharma index showed strength in today’s session, shares of Ajanta Pharma rose as high as 8.2%, while those of Glenmark Pharma, Laurus Labs, Ipca Labs, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Abbott India and Lupin closed between 2% and 3% higher.

Shares of NMDC closed 2.8% lower today on the BSE at Rs 69.35 as the shares of the company started trading on an ex-bonus basis on Friday.
