Why Does King Charles Hardly Know Archie and Lilibet?

As soon as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left royal life and relocated to the United States in 2020, they were cut off from the royal family. Consequently, the 76-year-old monarch now "hardly knows" his grandchildren, Princess Lilibet, age 3, and Prince Archie, age 5.

The king must still be very saddened by his distance from his two grandchildren who live in the United States; he doesn't really know them, and there is no chance that this will change anytime soon, royal analyst Jennie Bond told the Mirror.

A child's early years are so magical, and once they're gone, they're gone forever. It must be painful, but Jennie Bond hopes the king doesn't think about his loss too much. Charles has had a few encounters with Archie, but only once, in June 2022, at the Platinum Jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth II, did he meet Lilibet, as quoted in a report by The NY Post.

Bond asserts that the king is dedicated to fostering a relationship with the couple's kids, despite having only seen his daughter-in-law Markle once since she left the royal family.

She said that perhaps Harry and Meghan have sent the king pictures behind the scenes.
It coincides with a similar sentiment expressed in recent months by Thomas Markle Sr., the estranged father of the "Suits" alum.

Thomas Sr. has not yet met his grandchildren, despite announcing earlier this month that he is moving across the globe.

Even though he has consistently expressed interest in meeting Archie and Lilibet, the Sussex camp has remained silent in response to his efforts.

Thomas Sr. even made a "deathbed plea" to his estranged daughter in April after dealing with a number of health issues in recent years.
He also mentioned that they have two grandpas who want to see them, one of whom is the King of England.
