The first episode of The Day of the Jackal aired on NBC on December 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The series premiered earlier on Peacock and Sky on November 7.

The series has already received critical acclaim. It earned two Golden Globe nominations, one for Best Drama Series and another for Eddie Redmayne as Best Actor. On November 22, the show was renewed for its second season.

This show reimagines Frederick Forsyth's 1971 novel in a modern setting. Eddie Redmayne plays "The Jackal," a master assassin skilled in adopting various disguises. Lashana Lynch portrays Bianca Pullman, an intelligence agent determined to bring him down.
