Harju County Court has approved the #restructuring plan of Estonian car rental startup Planet42, which will allow the company to escape bankruptcy and continue its business activities. Creditors who agree to exchange their claims for a block of shares in the reorganized company will become shareholders in the parent company Inclusion. Creditors who do not agree to #exchange their claims for a block of shares will receive 5.5% of the principal debt and 7.5% per annum after a one-year grace period. Founded in 2017 in #Tallinn by Eerik Oja and Marten Orgna, with operations in #SouthAfrica and #Mexico, Planet42 buys used cars from a network of car dealers and connects them with customers. The platform works on a subscription base, without the need to physically inspect or meet the customer. Lithuanian #greentech investment firm HeavyFinance has announced a partnership with Multitude Bank, the main subsidiary of #Malta-based Multitude Group. As part of the debt securitisation deal, Multitude Bank will invest €14M in loans to small and medium-sized #agricultural enterprises. The main objective is to support the transition of businesses to sustainable #farming practices. In December 2024, Multitude Bank will start investing in loans issued by HeavyFinance. The bank will issue loans for the entire amount of €14М by the end of 2025. The investment is backed by a portfolio guarantee of up to €10,5M from the European Investment Fund (EIF). The money will be distributed among more than 500 European agricultural enterprises. HeavyFinance is a Lithuanian environmental technology investment company that operates a marketplace for the agricultural industry. The startup was founded in 2020 by Laimonas Noreika, Darius Verseckas and Andrius Liukaitis. HeavyFinance has a semi-automated credit scoring system that allows to access clients borrowing capabilities based on their financial data. The amount of provided loans varies from €6K to €300K. Lithuanian Freya Cultivation Systems, which is developing controlled #environment #agriculture with its flagship Aeroframe technology, has raised €500K. The round was led by Lithuanian Coinvest Capital and BSV Ventures. Lithuanian Sofigama Investments, Finnish Zunami Oy and business angels Paulius Vilemas and Marko Lehtovaara also participated in the deal. Coinvest Capital's investment in the company amounted to €250K. Freya Cultivation Systems was founded in 2018 by Gediminas Kudirka. The company intends to build a demonstration greenhouse near Kaunas, to showcase its three-dimensional #greenhouse cultivation system, Aeroframe. It promises to increase yields of strawberries, lettuce, herbs and tomatoes by up to two times, and increase farmers' profits by up to three times. Lithuanian Contribee, which helps #entrepreneurs and companies manage their fan #subscriptions or support their favorite creators and discover exclusive content, has been acquired by Lithuanian MASIVA GROUP. The deal is an exit for Lithuanian Coinvest Capital, Estonian Startup Wise Guys and several business angels. The total investment in Contribee was €250K. Coinvest Capital's investment was close to €120K. The fund held 10,5% of the company's shares. Masiva Group will take full control of the platform and will continue its activities with a new team. Contribee is a membership platform that allows creators to interact with their fans and receive one-time and monthly support. The company was founded by Ediminas Ratkevicius and Adrius Jakucionis in 2020. Coinvest Capital is a VC fund fully capitalized with public funds from the Lithuanian state and the EU. It is 100% owned by the National Development Agency INVEGA, which, in turn, is owned by the @Ministry of Finance, acting as a shareholder on behalf of the Republic of Lithuania. Coinvest Capital invests in startups and companies undergoing business development and growth in cooperation with groups of business angels or private venture capital funds. Its portfolio includes 37 startups, with a total co-investment of €35.9M. Launched in 2012, Estonian Startup Wise Guys is an accelerator that invests in early-stage startups from the Baltic, Central European, and African regions.
