Estonia has launched a call for tenders to develop a mobile solution for collecting biometrics – such as photos and fingerprints – through smartphones. 🇪🇪 🪪 This major step will simplify the application process and could soon replace the need for a physical e-Residency card! Now, as the owner of an Estonian company, I can confirm this fact not in words but in practice. All processes took one month, from applying online to receiving the e-Resident Kit. In just 3 minutes (𝑰 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉), I passed the biometrics at the consulate and received all the documents. The process of registering the company took 3 days. After obtaining the status, I received a detailed consultation from e-Residency representative Ülane Vilumets on my further actions, the possibilities of the status, and the work of the portal for e-Residents. Estonia is an excellent example of how a state should function to attract international entrepreneurs and investors to its jurisdiction. Nowadays, simplicity and speed play a crucial role when choosing a country of incorporation. 🇺🇦 I want Ukraine to adopt the best practices of e-Residency Estonia in our e-Residency program.
