Progress in action: Enefit Green has deployed a floating meteorological station for the Liivi Bay Offshore Wind Farm, marking a significant step toward transforming Estonia’s energy future. Hear more from Erik Iida, Offshore Wind Development Engineer, in the video below! 🌊 With a planned capacity of up to 1,000 MW, the wind farm has the potential to supply nearly half of Estonia’s annual electricity needs, generating approximately 4 TWh of clean, renewable energy from up to 84 turbines each year. To optimize the design and performance of the wind farm, we’ve installed an advanced measurement system that combines a LiDAR, wave spotter buoy, and seabed-mounted sensors. This state-of-the-art technology will provide critical data on wind, waves, currents, and winter ice conditions. I have now been part of Enefit Green's journey for over 3 weeks. Here are my main takeaways: ✨The offices are filled with friendly, highly professional and motivated people. Every challenge here feels doable 💪 A big thanks to all the patient colleagues who’ve answered my hundreds of questions with such clarity and expertise! 🙏 ✨ On my second week, I climbed to the top of one of the wind turbines at Pakri wind farm. Seeing firsthand how it operates, as well as how it’s maintained, is incredibly valuable. It truly is an art! I was reassured that safety is a top priority, and we're well-prepared for even the most challenging scenarios. ✨ There is still a large market for renewable power generation in our home markets in Baltics, Poland and Finland. Each of these markets is still a net importer, and fossil fuels are pushed more and more out from the market. Furthermore, electrification presents many interesting opportunities and challenges. 🚗⚡🚌 ✨ New renewable generation is continuously being added to the market. While increasing market saturation brings new risks for future developments, it also opens fresh opportunities for innovative hybrid solutions.    ✨ Since October Enefit Green has more than 1000 MW of installed  capacity, making us one of the largest power producers 🙌 It shows our vast expertise, experience and potential to use the existing asset fleet for future developments like value chain extensions. ✨ There are still more than 600 MW of power plants in construction or in commissioning phase. In the short term the focus will be on finalizing these projects and getting them producing maximal volume of green electricity 🏗️ ✨ Enefit Green genuinely invests in its people and new recruits. I had the pleasure of attending the new employee introduction day, which provided an overview of who is who and what is where. ✨ Last Friday, we held a team meet-up to review Q3 results, adjust our focus for the rest of Q4, and I shared my insights on what to expect in the future. The atmosphere was good, with open discussions and many questions. ✨ And finally, the best way to commute to the office from the city center is the fast and cozy orange train 🥕 by Elron / Eesti Liinirongid AS . A short walk and a train ride are all you need to set your focus in the morning and clear your head in the evening. And it’s of course way better for the environment than a car. 🚅 ♻️   In summary, Enefit Green is a strong company with an exciting path for development ahead. I’m glad to be part of it and exited for what lies ahead in the future. 👍
