Is There Life After a Career in IT Recruitment? So, I played with the idea of what I could become if I decided to make a career switch. Here are some fun thoughts: ❤️ Matchmaker + You get invited to weddings. - Talk about responsibility! It’s not just a 4-month guarantee for a probation period—it’s for life. 📚 Salesperson + Easy! I could sell anything to anyone. Door-to-door book sales? No problem. - I'm used to earning a good % commission. Who would pay that much? 🔍 Detective + That would be exciting! Find anyone, anywhere. Sit in a car with my coffee, stalking... uh, researching people. My sourcing skills would be next-level. - Hang on! What if they are not on LinkedIn? 👩🏫 School Teacher + If I can handle tech guys, I can handle kindergartners. It’s the same energy, just with more snack breaks. + I would get flowers for the teacher's day and school holidays. - I have a parenting overdose with my own teens sometimes. How much more can I handle? 💼 Debt Collector (Inkasso Agency) + I could follow-up politely for as long as it takes until the debtor accepts the offer and pays. Hey, persistence is my middle name! - I would hate cold calling. Wow! Recruiters have so many TRANSFERABLE skills and superpowers: 💪 Sales expertise 💪 Project management finesse 💪 Laser-sharp analytical skills 💪 World-class communication 😇 A touch of people-wrangling magic 💪 BOUNCEBACKABILITY (Yes, that's a word!) ... and so much more! We can become anyone if we wish! Don’t take me too seriously, okay?! 😆 Self-irony is just one of the vital skills I’ve developed to survive the chaos. Recruiters, we’re built for turbulence! SEPTEMBER DIGEST 🍁 September kicked off the HIRING season for us. We have been sourcing and interviewing candidates day and night. The market picked up and it felt great! We accepted the challenge to hire 2 great SOFTWARE ARCHITECTS As a result, we got such statistics: 👉 11 candidates were delivered within 3 weeks. 👉 4 job offers were extended, 2 accepted. Yep. It is a challenging role. Closing the deal is a 50% chance. We also managed to hire: 1 Senior DEVOPS by introducing 1 single candidate. He turned out to be a perfect fit! 1 SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER. She is thrilled. We are currently in the final stage of hiring: A team of PKI ENGINEERS #office #Tallinn 1 SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER #hybrid #tallinn And ready to take on the new recruitment projects. Being a lifelong learner, I never miss a chance to attend a conference for free. It is my annual tradition to join Tallinna Ettevõtluspäev.
