Nordic Milk is Estonia’s leading dairy group. Known for its two legendary brands – Tere and Farmi. New, third brand – Deary brings plant-based portfolio under one umbrella brand for efficient expansion in export markets. In July 2020 AS Maag Group restructured its dairy companies and transferred the shareholdings in TERE AS and AS Farmi Piimatööstus to a holding company Nordic Milk OÜ. Nordic Milk OÜ is now the group of dairy companies with a simple and clear structure, solid production and known trademarks. The new structure will guarantee more efficient management of the companies and all their factories and will give better position to expand the activities in the Baltic and Nordic countries. It is our vision to be innovative, responsible and respectful company and act as a role model and leader of the modern dairy industry. LinkedIn was kind enough to remind me that it's been two years since I came back to the Ministry of Defence. Coincidentally on the same day our team and partners were awarded with the "Commerce Act of 2024 Grand Prix" (Aasta kaubandustegu) for our collaboration project with various Estonian companies where we "disguised" different products into Estonian military camouflage. With every sold product a small donation is made to the Estonian Reserve Forces fund which supports our reservists and their combat readiness. In addition this project created a new way to support Estonian national defence - by eating Balbiino AS Ice-Cream in camouflague, paying with Coop Pank AS card or wearing GoldTime Jewelry etc. The most striking part of this project was how easy it was to find like-minded partners from the private sector to collaborate with to support the armed forces. This shows both the high support of our private sector towards national defence and the great work done by Mikk-Alvar Olle in managing this project. Our local milk brand Farmi is shortlisted as a finalist for Baltic Brand Awards 2024. The finalists were selected using data from Brand Capital, and the brand survey was conducted by Norstat involving over 3,000 residents from the Baltic region. The survey included more than 600 brands and more than 300 questions related to different lifestyles and habits. The most loved local producer brands is one of the seven categories in Baltic Awards 2024. The winners in each category will be announced on September 20 during the Baltic Brand Forum marketing event in Riga, Latvia.
