we are excited to share that Thoraya Seada, Director of the Carbon Footprint Center (CFC), recently participated in the side event at World Urban Forum 12 Egypt, titled "Arid Cities, Climate Change, Sustainability, and Resilience: Challenges and Needs." The event addressed the pressing climate challenges and resilience strategies specific to hot and arid cities around the world—topics that are crucial for shaping our sustainable future. Guided by leading experts from the Climate Governance Commission, Earthna Centre for a Sustainable Future, and Heliopolis University, the conversation was enriched by diverse insights and practical approaches to these challenges. Ms. Seada emphasized the urgent need for sustainable urban systems as an essential component for achieving comprehensive sustainable development and effectively addressing climate change. It was a privilege to us to engage alongside remarkable panelists such as Ms. Maja Groff, Mr. David Simon, and Mr. Sebastien Turbot. CFC goes to Saudi Arabia! In effort to raise awareness and integrate climate action activities in the Arab region, the Carbon Footprint Center, in collaboration with the Egyptian Biodynamic Association-EBDA and Economy of Love -EoL, are partnering with the Saudi company, Imar, Engineering Consultants Engineering Consultants, and their sister company Climate Solutions. All involved parties met at Heliopolis University, where a memorandum of understanding was signed to elaborate on the services provided, among which are carbon credits system implementation as well as biodynamic agriculture and sustainable development awareness. We look forward to opening a new collaboration space in Saudi Arabia and welcome our new partners on board of our road to sustainable development in the Arab Region.
