This will help the youth cope with the current local and international workplace dynamics by giving them a genuine competitive edge through their acquired knowledge. The Business Banking Credit Administration Department, on a voluntary basis, was successful in helping to further enhance CIB’s efforts at reducing its overall carbon and ecological footprint through enhanced operations efficiency and in perfect synergy with other departments in CIB. To honor their efforts, the Amal El Araby Sustainability Award ceremony took place in collaboration with Business Banking Risk, Business Banking Distribution, Operations, and IT to support our decarbonization journey. The team’s initiatives have led to outstanding results in decreasing paper consumption and contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through streamlined processes and improved efficiency, while enhancing customer satisfaction and business growth. CIB’s Head of Global Customer Relations, Ms. Soha Abu Zikry, participated in the “Sustainable Strategies: Integrating ESG and Decarbonization for a Net-Zero Future” panel session at the Egyptian Banking Institute “Empowering Africa” conference. She highlighted CIB’s efforts to further integrate ESG within its business practices and the bank’s offerings to its clients, stating: “CIB began its sustainability journey in 2013, and over the years we have been working towards showcasing the business case of sustainable finance.
