Ezdehar is recruiting for a Finance & Compliance Director to join our diverse and talented private equity team – we are looking for a seasoned professional (10-15 years of experience), with a strong technical Finance & Accounting background, as well as strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills. A diverse set of experience across financial consulting, auditing, and corporate finance is ideal (e.g. big four auditing firm, multinational corporation, etc.). The day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include the following: - Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting duties pertaining to the fund and its related entities. - Lead all financial related filings in Egypt and the Netherlands, including compliance, tax, reporting, etc. to the relevant authorities. - Lead the issuance of investor reporting (including quarterly financial reporting to investors, annual reports, and ad-hoc reporting per investor). - Lead the audit of the Funds and all its related entities. - Prepare and issue the fund’s annual audited IFRS accounts. - Control/review/approve fund expenses. - Lead the relationship with the different stakeholders, including fund accountants, administrators, auditors, banks, insurance, etc. - Select/negotiate contract with suppliers of the fund, including suppliers for due diligence, insurance, and administration. - Lead the different finance projects and initiatives (e.g., ERP systems). - Lead and enhance all finance-related portfolio company reporting and compliance. - Establishing new relationships with banks, raising and negotiating debt financing – including short-term, medium-term, and long-term loans – and continuously improving loan terms for portfolio companies. - Project manage and support the audit process of portfolio companies (as needed) and ensure timely issuance of the annual audited financials. - Support the transformation of the finance function for portfolio companies as part of the fund’s post-investment plan (this could entail supporting the recruitment of qualified finance professionals, project managing the implementation / upgrades of technology systems, overlooking the monthly reporting and identifying areas for improvement, etc.) - Lead the drafting, review, maintenance, enhancement, and enforcement of all compliance-related policies. - Act as a point of contact in the different investor communication/queries as they arise.
