giraffics is an award-winning and three-times Annecy selected Egyptian, Arabic and African animation studio. giraffics was born from a profound passion for animation and the desire to bring the captivating narratives of our region to life.
While our journey began as a motion graphics company, we've since evolved into a creative powerhouse that transcends borders and ignites imaginations. Our story is one that's woven with passion, innovation, and a deep love for storytelling.
Today, we are immensely proud to be part of Egypt and MEA's animated legacy. We've embarked on a groundbreaking mission, To capture the essence of our rich culture, history, and untold stories in the most captivating way possible. It's a labour of love, a testament to our commitment to preserving and celebrating our roots through the mesmerising art of animation. giraffics has co-produced two short movies of Disney's Kizazi Moto as well as several IPs that capture the essence of Egyptian culture.
Earlier this month, I was invited by giraffics to discuss modern motion design and how the industry developed over the years as part of "The Program" a combination of engaging workshops and expert-led sessions that Giraffics created for aspiring Egyptian artists.

Guest speakers Amr Shaalan Story Artist and Director, and Character Designer Abdullah Moatasem guided the participants through the week’s key objectives.
We also enjoyed talks from Lahcen Bahij about his journey in the European animation industry and our Art Director aya marzouk on the creative process behind our Annecy award-winning Ted Ed lesson.
To reinforce last week’s objectives, Scriptwriter Mohamed Osama covered scriptwriting techniques, and our Producer Habiba El Khashab discussed production planning and scheduling, helping participants apply these strategies to their own project.
