Under the title "Green Transformation and Carbon Initiatives: Unlocking Financial Opportunities for Egypt’s Agricultural Export Sector," our Chief Marketing Officer and Deputy CEO, Mona El Bardaie, participated in an engaging session moderated by Enroot. This discussion highlighted the potential of the carbon credit carbon for Egypt's agricultural exports.
Yesterday’s panel discussion at Food Africa 2024, “Green Transformation and Carbon Initiatives: Unlocking Financial Opportunities for Egypt’s Agricultural Export Sector,” brought together leading voices to tackle some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities in sustainable agriculture. Moderated by our CEO, Dr. Hany Elsalamony, the panel explored: 👉 Climate change impacts on Egypt's agricultural sector 👉 How Egypt can leverage carbon credit systems to boost export market competitiveness 👉 The importance of private sector engagement in fostering sustainable growth Enroot was proud to join the discussion in collaboration with Mahaseel, which directly relates to our project "Private Sector Promotion for the Agricultural Sector in Upper Egypt" (funded by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt) which focuses on enhancing #climate_resilience and water-smart agriculture in Upper Egypt by engaging the private sector in fostering #climate_smart agricultural practices. The insights shared during the panel reinforced the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in leveraging carbon credit frameworks to drive sustainability, increase competitiveness in export markets, and ensure a resilient future for Egypt’s agricultural sector.
