Versailles in the Paris task force?

[edit]

Hi there hello, so I just spontaneously joined the Paris task force and got into tagging "Paris-related" articles, but I wonder whether or not articles that are "Versailles-related" should be tagged and improved as well. I'd be happy if anybody'd give me the answer to that. Update: I'll just tag the "Versailles-related" ones, just tell me if I shouldn't :) - CarolingianCitizen (talk) 10:02, 7 August 2022 (CET)

New Wikiproject

[edit]

Hey, I'm new and I was wondering if I could start a new Wikiproject and how I would do so. After Wikiproject French Communes concluded, I started to make new pages on French Intercommunal structures and have been on a pace of 1 a day. If I had some extra help it could help document more on French administration. Thank you for reading and considering this. Vestrix (talk) 03:07, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vestrix, you can find out about starting a new Wikiproject at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide#Creating a WikiProject. See also the main council page at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council. Mathglot (talk) 04:26, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. Given the next section, I think what you want is a Task force under the France WikiProject, and not a new WikiProject. You can read about creating a new Task force at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide/Task forces. Mathglot (talk) 04:45, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thank you! Vestrix (talk) 15:44, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused

[edit]

I've been looking around and I can't find any info on if intercounalities are base of Arrodossements or not. Can someone help me out? Vestrix (talk) 03:26, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vestrix, I am confused by your question. Intercounalities is not a word I recognize, but if you tell me the French word you were thinking of, it's likely I will probably understand it. As far as the other word you wrote there, I am pretty sure you meant to say Arrondissement, and perhaps that article will answer your question, or maybe the French Wikipedia article fr:Arrondissement will. Although I still really don't know what your question actually is. Mathglot (talk) 04:36, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry! It was late when I wrote this. What I mean to say is do you know if the boundaries of intercommunal structures are based off the arrondissement in which it is located? Sorry! Vestrix (talk) 15:48, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gathering Consensus

[edit]

Hello Wikiproject France! As you may know, because of the efforts of the Wikiproject, we have documented every commune in France! I think that it's time to take the next step. If I could get a force of at least 10 people, we can start to document every intercommunal structure in France! Thank you for taking the time to read this. Merging WW2 RAF / Free French squadrons into native air forces/air arms

[edit]

Following on from this discussion in January 2023 on the WP:MILHIST talk page. A large number of other countries squadrons have been merged/moved to their native air forces. Looking at the French series, 326, 327, 328, 329, 340, 341, 342, 343, 344, 345, 346 & 347, i've put merge notices on the correct French Air Force squadrons that i've found but my knowledge of the French Air Force is poor and knowledge about their Naval Air Arm is non-existent.

Is anyone able help to connect up the WW2 RAF squadrons with their native air force squadrons? Gavbadger (talk) 00:04, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Guillaume de Gisors has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced and unimproved almost 15 years. Tagged as not notable and unreferenced on French Wikipedia. Not enough information to merge.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. France Flag information template update

[edit]

In the Other versions section of File:Flag of France.svg, the lighter blue flag should be changed to 1976 instead of 1975. The current Flag of France article also says so. The darker blue flag should also be changed to 1976 instead of 1975. Synchronize to 1830-1976 instead of 1830-1974. Also, the reference source from SHOM used on this page is no longer valid. I hope it can be updated. 2401:E180:8D05:2477:DB91:A92F:442C:8D06 (talk) 09:25, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I only want to modify the start time of use of the lighter blue Flag, which is 1976.
Although this also required the use of the dark blue flag to be changed from 1830-1974 to 1830-1976. 2401:E180:8810:ECEB:E17A:44F7:996A:3E05 (talk) 14:40, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
