In a recent article, Expansión reports on several new senior hires at Alantra aimed at strengthening the Firm’s global sector teams across London, New York City, and Madrid. We welcome Anja Proeve, Bagdat Skakov, and Enrique Dominguez to our global Technology investment banking team. Based in London, Anja will focus on the Fintech & Software subsectors and Bagdat on Digital Infrastructure. Enrique will be based in Madrid, where the team is led by Pedro Serrano. In a recent Bloomberg article discussing the potential recovery of Spain’s IPO market, driven by several large private equity-backed listings expected next year, Andre Pereira-Ambrosio, Head of ECM Iberia, was quoted emphasizing that mid-to-large-cap companies with unique stories will be well-positioned to go public under favorable conditions. In contrast, small-cap companies will continue to face challenges. For these smaller firms to access the market, they will need to be more flexible with their valuation expectations. He observed that dealmakers are looking to the U.S. for signs of a recovery in IPO activity, as historical trends indicate that an increase in American deal volumes often signals a broader global resurgence. Spain may be in a stronger position than some of its European counterparts to benefit from this trend, supported by a stronger-than-average economic outlook and a stock market that has outperformed regional benchmarks this year. Yesterday, Alantra Partners attended the #DeutschesEigenkapitalforum in Frankfurt for the first time, one of Europe’s leading capital markets conferences. Last year, the event brought together over 1,700 participants and 255 issuers, making it a key date in the financial calendar. Dionisio Romero Benítez and Anna Mareen Steudel had a busy day of one-on-one investor meetings, presenting Alantra as a compelling investment opportunity. A few weeks ago, Alantra’s team in Germany moved into the renowned MainTower, which is located in the heart of Frankfurt’s financial district. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting some very special guests in our new office: the film crew from Hessischer Rundfunk visited us to shoot a documentary for the series “Inside Skyline Frankfurt” about the MainTower.
