Specifically, we visited IES Universidad Laboral, CIFP Someso, CIFP Valentín Paz Andrade, and CIFP As Mercedes. We truly appreciate their warm welcome and the chance to introduce students to our work and our key objectives: promoting road safety and environmental protection. These sessions were incredibly enriching, allowing us to share our mission with students while offering them the possibility of joining Applus+ Iteuve for their upcoming workplace training (FCT). It was also a great opportunity to explore their workshops, learn about the resources they have, and witness the dedication of their teachers and tutors. New PTI Station in Buenos Aires 🚗 On Tuesday, February 18, we officially launched our new Vehicle Technical Inspection station in San Miguel, Buenos Aires, Argentina. This facility, equipped with two inspection lines for light and heavy vehicles, has a total capacity of 40,000 annual inspections. Built to meet the highest safety standards, the station will operate under the new 10-year VTV contract in Buenos Aires Province. We are also introducing a new Prepayment System, making the process more efficient, reducing costs, and enhancing user convenience by allowing customers to remain in their vehicles throughout the inspection. 🔹 Marcelo Martínez, LATAM Manager at Applus+ Automotive, emphasized: "The opening of this new station is another step in our commitment to quality and safety. Applus+ Automotive strengthens its CSR commitment through recycling and solidarity At Applus+, we continue to support initiatives that create a positive impact on society and the environment. A great example is SYC-Applus+ collaboration with Insertega Reciclaje Textil, through the installation of clothing collection containers across our PTI station network. This initiative not only promotes textile recycling but also serves a greater social purpose: for every 10 kg of clothing collected, 1 kg of food is donated to charitable organizations. Thanks to the participation of our customers and collaborators, in 2024, we have successfully gathered 700 kg of food, which has been donated to Cruz Roja Ourense, with the delivery made by Javier Traba, Deputy Director of Operations for the southern Galicia area. 🚍 Innovating Emissions Testing for Denmark’s Public Buses 🌍 Did you know private companies operate public buses in Denmark through bidding? To ensure these buses are kept in excellent condition and meet environmental standards, they undergo rigorous annual tests measuring NOx, PM, and PN emissions. Traditionally, such tests are conducted in labs with the bus running on rollers. But at Applus+ Bilsyn, our innovative portable testing system has taken this challenge on the road. Here’s how it works: 💨 We use a HORIBA PG-350 for NOx measurement and a Pegasor MI3 particle counter for PM and PN. 🔥 Heated hoses maintain exhaust gas temperatures at 170°C, preventing condensation and ensuring accurate particle measurements. 🔋 A portable 5kW battery system powers the setup, making it efficient and mobile. 🚦 The test involves three full-throttle accelerations from 0 to 80 km/h, recording emissions data in real-time. This system allows us to perform on-site testing efficiently, ensuring that Denmark’s public buses meet strict emissions standards while remaining environmentally friendly. Innovation in action.
