🚀 Driving Software Quality with Exhaustive Testing at Aqaia At Aqaia, we understand that software testing is crucial for guaranteeing the quality of our custom solutions. We recently completed an internal training session called “Applications Testing: From Unit to UI Tests,” diving into the advantages of unit testing with xUnit, Moq, and FluentAssertion. During this session, we revisited our quality procedures and worked in teams to design exhaustive test cases. We believe it’s essential that homogeneous quality criteria are applied across different development teams in projects.  We also explored the use of Selenium for web test automation. This powerful suite of tools allows us to write and execute unit tests efficiently, ensuring solid and reliable products for our clients. Using Selenium IDE, we enabled non-developers to participate in the testing process, while Selenium WebDriver provided us with programmatic control and compatibility testing across multiple browsers and operating systems.  Our commitment is clear: to apply this knowledge to deliver robust and high-quality solutions to our clients, improving the efficiency and reliability of our software. Embracing AI and Data Privacy with Copilot and GitHub Copilot. AI has become a disruptive technology in the world, with the potential to revolutionize many aspects of our lives, including the way we work. As a company that seeks to always be on top of the technology wave, AI has been a “must have” for us. The most popular tool is ChatGPT, which is text generative data. These types of models are trained to predict the next word and to do so, they are trained with tons of information from the internet. As a company committed to information privacy, we are responsible for our data and that of our clients and we must ensure that no leaks of possible sensitive data occur. For this reason, we use Copilot, the solution proposed by Microsoft, which ensures data privacy by not learning from user data, offering a safer alternative. To keep our employees updated on new technologies, we conducted a company-level training a month ago. During this session, we introduced these AI tools, discussed their potential applications, and identified beneficial uses for these tools in their daily tasks. We also did specific training on the use of AI for software developers, using GitHub Copilot, a tool with the same base as Copilot that can be linked directly to Microsoft's Visual Studio (VS). Apart from the queries that we would normally make on the Internet, (integrated into VS itself) GitHub Copilot is also capable of suggesting lines of code and functions based on their context and, if, for example, it finds an error during execution, it can offer suggestions about the origin of the error. That is, GitHub Copilot provides us with help to generate our code, streamlining certain repetitive processes and leaving our workers time for more complex tasks, which will improve our performance, making even better final products.
