En esta tabla se encuentran las fechas en que las autoridades competentes encargadas de las evaluaciones tienen previsto presentar informes de evaluación para la aprobación o renovación de sustancias activas biocidas. 🌱 LIFE NextFumigreen: Advancing towards more sustainable agriculture in 2025 🌍 This year, the LIFE NextFumigreen project has made significant strides towards reducing chemical pesticides by developing natural fumigants based on plant extracts to combat pests like whiteflies and botrytis outbreaks in greenhouse crops. 🚜🌿 📍 Key milestones of 2024: ✅ Workshops in Almería, where experts and farmers discussed innovative biopesticides. ✅ Presentation of advancements at ExpoAgritech 2024, a key event in agricultural technology. ✅ A webinar during the European Green Week in Almería, focusing on sustainable solutions for pesticide-free agriculture. Backed by the European Union through the LIFE Programme, with a total budget of €2.7 million, we are moving forward towards a more environmentally-friendly agricultural model, aligned with the European Green Deal and the "Farm to Fork" Strategy. 💡 What’s next for 2025? We will validate the effectiveness of natural fumigants in new crops and countries, strengthening our commitment to sustainability. 👏 Thanks to our partners and collaborators, we are proving that safer, more efficient, and sustainable agriculture is possible. 🌿 With a total budget of €2,758,921.01, co-funded at 60% by the European Union's LIFE Programme, the project is being implemented in Spain, Italy, and Portugal. 🌿 European Commission’s Technical Visit to the LIFE NextFUMIGREEN Project 🌍 This Monday, December 16th, from 9:30 to 11:00, Piedad Rivas, a member of the European Commission and Officer at CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, visited the TECNOVA technology center to observe the EOR disinfection trials using innovative fumigants. We address how natural fumigants can transform agriculture, making it more sustainable and healthy. An event that had the privileged inauguration of Antonio Bartolomé Mena Rubio, Territorial Delegate of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Junta de Andalucía in Almeria; in addition to the presentations by representatives of European institutions such as Heijo Höfer, member of the Comité Europeo de las Regiones , and Mónica García Aguilar, head of Policies in the Pesticides and Biocides Unit of the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission. Both offered the European vision of the challenges of agriculture within the framework of the Green Week. The event brought together experts who addressed the current situation of fumigant use and existing alternatives to align with the European Green Deal and environmental protection.
